When is the best time of day to take?

Hi Everyone, I finally went and got a script and will begin as soon as the pharmacy lets me know they have it on hand.

What is the best time of day to take it? As well, empty stomach, or?

I searched for this info but didn’t find anything specific…

Thanks!!
Al

This has good starting information from our Admin. I’ve read on here that generally speaking morning is a good time just in case it interferes with sleep. That’s what I’ve been doing the last 3 months until today when I took it late afternoon and I’m still awake! Live and learn I suppose.

It doesn’t really matter for us unlike for transplant patients who require steady plasma levels. Just experiment a bit, don’t overthink

You may want to read this thread on “Bioavailability” of rapamycin, and how to improve it. I usually take it with a higher fat meal (e.g. sardines… in the morning) for about a 30% increase in bioavailability. Rapamycin can impact sleep if you take it later in the day (and for some people it impacts sleep no matter when they take it).

Thanks. I will likely wait until the AM…and/or midday when I’m typically eating for the first time…
