Nature offers a look at longevity experiments in mice, with anti-IL-11 and suggests improvements in metabolism and extension of age in males and females by 20% or more. A technical paper, TL:DR, but an interesting avenue for research.

Keeping in mind we are still discussing mice, these potential benefits are comparable to those of rapamycin, potentially with fewer downsides. To me, it is unclear which of the effects of the anti-Il-11 intervention are accounting for the outcomes.

Pro-resolving Mediators might have the effect of reducing the actions of IL-11 therefore could be a path for personal exploration.

What is a pro-resolving mediator?

Quite a few papers can be found on the NIH stacks. This is one of the more recent. I recall one study discussing an SPM targeting IL-11 but have not yet re-located it.
