I don’t think declaring it as vitamins would have worked either. You need to declare it as something benign and get it through their local post office. It should be doable, but you need some skill and finesse. I still find it hard to believe that they make you show the contents before shipping anything. It is possible that someone more experienced with this could have got it done within the original budget as a small shipment. I also found a proper pharma export company and they said they can ship meds. Will see how that goes.
Just got back from Istanbul where I managed to buy three boxes each of 100 tablets 1 mg rapamycin - Pfizer. I got it at Sultanahmet Eczane (Pharmacy) close to the main tourist attractions - blue mosk etc. Very nice service. First they had to call somebody and only could sell me one box. Another day they got hold of two more. The guy at the counter - Mehmet - was willing to post it to another country - I just dont think it will make it through costums in EU.
Price was 7.550 turkish lira for each box of 100 x 1 mg.
thanks for sharing this. They ship to EU but need you to be there in person to place the order? Or in theory they’d take an order online and try to ship to EU?
You can place the order from abroad - you just have to check the carrier - as far as I remember (at least in my country, Denmark) customs open and stop medicine except if you use a special carrier - which one I dont remember. I Think I read about it in a thread somewhere here. At the Pharmacy I spoke to Mehmet. A helpfull Young guy who speakes good english and offered to mail me the pills in the future. I assume for a small fee. Still you need to find the right Company for the transport.
The same with Ukraine. No need for prescription. Rapamune is hell expensive but easier to manage delivery inside EU.
Thanks to a piece of advice from RapAdmin about how to look for a supplier in India, I might have found a supplier, that can help people ind the EU to get rapamycin. I wrote about what I was looking for at IndiaMART and got answers from many companies, but one caught my eye - because he wrote, that getting medicine through danish customs is almost impossible.
The others didnt see that as a problem and so they didnt have any solution to the problem.
This guy also wrote that he has a warehouse in Europe, that he
sends the goods to on the way - and that he always gets them through customs.
His price is 15 euro for 10 pills og rapamycin 1 mg plus60 euro in shipping up to 300 strips of 10 pills.
I took the chance - and recieved the goods. And upon recieving I got a better understanding of his method - but cant go into details here.
The name of the company is Amoha Impes, the guys name is Ankit, and his WhatsApp-number is: +919924570000
Which brands of rapmycin does he sell?
The name is Rapacan, the firm Eris - in India
it is not called rapamycin but Sirolimus.
Just returned from a holiday in Istanbul and bought another two boxes of 100x 1mg Rapamune and 1000x 50mg Acarbose , readily available ![]()
Nice. What is the price there now?
Around $190 for a box of 100x 1mg, Acarbose $1,5 (Glucobay) for a box of 30x 50mg
I hear Turkey is a great place to vacation this time of year ![]()
But the prices at the airport are ludicrous. My sons commented that a Whopper in Istanbul cost 32 EUR, or about $40 USD!!! Unfortunately, I never left the airport, so I have to assume it’s cheaper outside???
True - but I passed through there last year and had a great sleep in those egg-shaped sleep pods that they have there, and I don’t recall that being too expensive.
I have been to southern Turkey (the Mediterranean coast) quite a few times in late October. And since I try to stay away from the summer heat, that has been an excellent time. Warm and comfortable but not too hot. I don’t know what Istanbul is like at that time of year, probably a bit cooler and maybe wet.
Turkish airports are really expensive. A Whopper costs less outside the airports. But Turkish cuisine is really good, so the whopper cost is less of a problem. ![]()
Where can I find a mail order company that sells Rapamycin without a prescription?
I just got back from Istanbul. Went to a pharmacy in the touristy Sultanahmet district and paid about 200€ per box of 100 1mg Rapamune. I wasn’t expecting it to be so pricey, when I bought from India it was a fraction of that. But, it was available.
I live in Spain and it’s impossible to get sirolimus here. I have a prescription from AgelessRx in California, from when I lived there, and I have a mailbox in the US still, where I receive packages and forward them to my son to bring to me when he visits Spain. But it would be nice to have a reliable source here in Europe. I can’t import from India or anywhere outside the EU, it will be rejected by Customs.
Is the pharmacy in Bulgaria still an option?
The Bulgarian option may still be available, but I haven’t heard of anyone ordering from them recently. Perhaps you can try and report back: Rapamune Sirolimus 1 mg * 10 Pfizer – BG pharmaceuticals
$2 per mg for Rapamune (the Pfizer branded product) is actually a pretty good price, as the product is of very high quality. Of course, Zydus and Biocon/Eris at under $1.00 per mg is fine for most of us.
