Supplements are worse for prevention rather than drugs that have clinically meaningful benefits in large studies for outcomes.
It’s also physically impossible to reverse atherosclerosis, it’s a part of the arterial wall. If you did that you’d rip out the entire artery. What you can do is stabilize the plaque and reduce events, there is some regression but total reversal is not possible right now. It comes down to optimizing lipids, keeping them low, stabilizing plaques, blood pressure, etc. That’s done with drugs, not supplements, prescribed by a doctor if you don’t have information yourself, who understands preventative care as not all doctors do. But in older age doctors I think usually are better for prevention.
I had never used Nattokinase nor Serrapetase until literally 3 days ago, but holly what an effect (good one that is). I thought I was coming down with something - feeling groggy and body pains and aches out of nowhere and just so happened that I had ordered Nattokinase and Serra and took them. Instantaneously (after one hour or so) all pain gone, my sinuses cleared (I don’t think I’ve had this clear in long, long time) and I was immersed in this sense of tranquility and wellbeing and rested, so unreal. Having said that, the biggest impact i got was the very first day I used them. I’ve been using them daily since but while I think it totally got rid of inflammation and still very clear breathing/sinuses but Nowhere near the initial feeling I got. Also, a chronic back pain issue that I’ve had for most of my adult life (about a 3-4 on a scale of 10) has totally disappeared since I started these two supplements. If you have pain i think these two work way better than pain medication. btw, I don’t know if it was one or the other or the combination and the fact that they may work synergistically but from now on I’ll never be without them in my cabinet. They are on my Top three supplements.
!0000 per day Natto and 480000 SERRA, basically 3 tablets Natto (2=4000) in the morning and 2 at night, and 2 tablets SERRA (2=240000) in the morning and 2 at night. I also bought Lumbrokinase to give it a try. (after having such unbelievable results from these two)
I have had inflammation for a long time, these two are absolutely the best i have ever tried for that purpose and also God sent for aches and pains. Last month or so I started few meds/substances (as i was starting to feel my age, nothing in particular but just a common feeling that I’m sure everyone knows)_ and actually I’ve decided to put everything on hold and stick with these two for the time being (stopped statins, metformin, and EMPA and only keeping 3mgs of Cialis and RAPA).
The results have been so amazing that I’m afraid I have already jinxed it LOL
I’m sure what I’m experiencing is personal, and someone else may not experience exactly the same because they may not have exact same ills that i do ie. excessive inflammation as an example
p.s the only side effect that I “might” have had is perhaps a very small aggravation of tinnitus, which it doesn’t matter to me because I already have it and at times it goes up a notch, and then it drops a nbit by itself, but never disappears. Don’t know if coincidence or if related, but i doubt they would give tinnitus if someone did not have it in first place,
I’m absolutely amazed/shocked that a (or couple) enzymes can have such a profound effect on plaque. I would have thought it would be the hardest thing for medicine to accomplish.
I started taking it lately and can tell it is having some substantial effect (positive) but never measured for plaque. I intend to continue taking it together with Serrapeptase, and doing for a while Lumbrokinase also.
Yes thank you I’m aware of this research. I just haven’t noticed a decrease in my own fibrinogen levels from taking 8000FU nattokinase (potentially wasn’t enough). I was wondering if any folks here had a different experience.
Hmm, a combo product with both high dose nattokinase and serrapeptase sounds like something I would want to take for myself, but your concerns about whether it is a legit company or not seem to be warranted, given all the points you listed. Suspiciously cheap for what it is too.
I have atopped buying most supplements from Amazon after watching countless Ryker Black videos on YouTube where he tests products that often have zero or only trace amounts of what they are supposed to contain.
Currently using Pharmakon, but it’s not enteric coated and although it’s made in Germany, I haven’t seen any independent testing on its quality. Before this , I was using Doctor’s Best, which I’ll probably go back to although it’s not enteric coated either. DB brand regularly passes quality/safety tests on ConsumerLab over the years; in fact, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen them fail a test for any supplement. The name is pretty corny, but with good pricing and quality I don’t know what else to ask for.
You may email Pharmakon as I did for the 3rd party analysis: johan.stein@biomarkt-usa.com. Just specify the lot number. My wife and I both take the Pharmakon nattokinase. Previously we took Allergy Research Group nattokinase NSK-SD, which is a solid product, but it is pricey.
For what it’s worth, I have been taking 100 mg dose of Nattokinase every day for several years for the reasons you cited. And my mother-in-law has been taking 300 mg a day for her heart health. The substance breaks up fibrous matter, including scar tissue.
