yes, I will test this next time
I have been taking 6mg a week for about a year through ageless Rx. I have lost some weight, but no real noticeable benefits. There was a mix up one month in my rapa delivery, so i wound up taking a week off and had noticeable weight loss the following week once i started rapa again. i was wondering who is providing the rapa to you that recommended 12mg once per week?
Many of us here are just buying rapamycin from other locations (e.g. India: How to Get Rapamycin, Where to get a Prescription ) and testing different dosing levels. There is no really good data on what the optimal dosing level is for human longevity, so people test different doses and do blood tests to see if there are any negative effects of higher dosing. In many animal studies, higher doses result in greater longevity benefits (but there are risks, such as immune suppression, when you go to high regular dosing).
No one recommends a dosage level.
All of us just making the best educated guesses we can.
I’ve dialed into 20 mg once every 2 weeks (with healthy fats).
Probably reasonable to increase your dose until you experience something negative, then back off a little.
I could take more or begin taking it with grapefruit juice.
I’ve never experienced any side effects.
Just read an article from a newspaper indicating that Covid can lower intelligence scores by a few points. The sister of a friend had a rash all over after her first injection for Covid, then her legs swelled up after her second injection, but these things settled down after 24 to 48 hrs. After her third immunization, she had to be flown to a hospital in a major city for a heart transplant. This seems to be a complicated bug…
Cancer benefits of rapamycin seen in cats:
I was acutely aware of the placebo effect (on us, not the cat, lol), so I was very careful reaching any conclusions, but the rapamycin seemed to work almost immediately. My wife claimed she could see slight effects already in the first two weeks, though I refused to believe such fast action. Nonetheless, over the next few weeks, the progress started becoming undeniable.
Friends, it was insane. Literally unbelievable. Had I not seen it with my own eyes, I would not have believed it as “too good to be true”. The cancer started retreating. It completely vanished from his neck - the huge open sores - and gradually started disappearing from his head. All this within the span of a few weeks. The only hard patches were the original eyelid and where it first spread, the ears. But finally in time, it disappeared from the ear too.
This felt like a miracle. Literally within 3-4 months the cancer retreated dramatically. The vet could not believe it, but he remembered how it looked before, plus we had some photographs. We told him about the rapamycin because we wanted him to have something to offer other cats in a similar situation (funnily he said he’d recommend trying rapa to his friend - human obviously - for the SCC on his face!).

A good story about a forum member’s dog:
A very interesting anecdote. I’m unsure of the physical benefits so far but at 6mg once a week I find my mood is better, and I’m feeling better mentally. Similar to what you’ve been experiencing.
What dose do you use?
Hey Travis - I am dosing at 6 mg once a week zydus/rapamycin. Pretty much that for 4 years and 4 months. No breaks.
Not sure whether to put this in the humor thread, or here, but I was checking out new members and saw this on one profile… “People try to hook me up with 30 year olds”, is probably a benefit for a guy 51 to 55
@Mouse_wont_die
I’ll share a little of the story; A little over a year ago I was at a family function in Baltimore. While all the 13 year olds were running around and playing, the adult kids had a very nice cocktail hour. Over a blueberry Mojito I struck up a conversation with a local ER Doc and her friend (just colleague’s) a gentleman who worked in Public Health. We mostly spoke about skiing and, Rapa didn’t come up at all.
The next day my Cousin told me that she had a laugh when the lady who I was chatting with at the cocktail hour had approached her with a possible dating opportunity for me. When my Cousin asked her how old this woman was, she was told 36. When my cousin asked her friend how old she thought I was, she was told early 40’s. Maybe it was the Blueberry Mojitos? Or, maybe 6 years of Intermittent Rapamycin Therapy does have profound yet subtle effects.
Here’s a slide from a recent Toastmasters speech I gave on Rapamycin. Those are my values. Rapamycin is the Real Deal! I was born in 72’ I always give out wrong birthdays.
Can you share how you’re dosing it along with the frequency of dose?
Here is a facial age pic taken in the morning with good sunlight and submitted to one of those “AI- How old am I” sites.
Hi Luke, GF, 4MG Biocon Rapamycin, Weekly.
