I can get a prescription for Sirolimus/Rapamycin from an American MD. I would then like to obtain it from a bricks & mortar pharmacy. BUT I do not want Rapamune from Pfizer because it is way too pricey. Is there a generic version that the Doctor should write the prescription for?
Generally, I think, you can just ask for a “generic sirolimus” prescription from the doctor (they won’t give you the brand name Pfizer Rapamune unless you specifically ask for it, I would think, because its so expensive). Then you take that prescription to a pharmacy and they will give you whatever generic version of sirolimus that they can give you easily. You can also use GoodRX.com to get a lower price, or you can go to CostPlusDrugs.com to get a good/low cost.

Thanks much. This is very helpful.
My prescription was submitted to Cost Plus and I never heard back, despite multiple emails and waiting on hold for over 30 minutes. I discovered GoodRX and had my RX filled at CVS last weekend. Just show them the GoodRX submission, and that’s what you pay. Cheap, easy, and convenient.
I think for CostPlus, they only accept electronic prescriptions.
Yes when I Rx to CostPlus as per @KarlT it is an ePrescribe and you need to list the patient’s email as that is how the contact for payment is made.
That deal with CVS - unbelievable - now around 70 cents/mg …
Thanks. I plan to use GoodRX and CVS.
