Retatrutide - Possibly better than semaglutide b/c lower nausea/side effect profile, but higher heart rate

And I actually think the Eloralintide + Tirzepatide (EloraTZD) will be better than Reta. So far, better results and Elora (Amylin) actually lowers heart rate vs the glucagon in the Reta that raises it.

What have you seen relative to psoriasis?

One of the results that impressed. On 2 levels

Male mid 40’s - 15 years of psoriasis and 8 of psoriatic arthritis. A bit shorter than me, maybe 5’ 5" weighed 135lb. Looked like a pretty fit guy, lean and muscular, not big just strong looking. Watched his diet, took his meds, worked out, did everything he could to be healthy and he’d reach a point of diminishing returns.

Had not been able to put his socks on in morning for the past 5 years without using a grabber thing to be able to reach. Took him 30 to 40 minutes to be able to move freely and the chronic pain never left him throughout the day.

The only thing I could think of that might help was Reta.

Because he was already pretty lean, he was skeptical. I explained the anti-inflammatory potential so he decided he would try a sub-clinical dose of 0.5mg per week.

I also gave him a bottle of our Blue Magic skin care product. Some people with psoriasis get some relief with this product, some don’t. It’s very hit and miss for this condition.

Two weeks later he came back and said I want to show you something and he held out his hands palms up. All I saw were two health looking hands with a bit of white spotting on the palms. Then he said this… “I did not show you my hands the first time I was here because they looked like zombie hands, every crease in my hand has bled for years and nothing has ever provided relief. I think your Blue Magic is doing something I’ve never experienced before”

He then said, “the past 3 days I’ve been able to put my socks on without my gripper and I’m fully mobile shortly after I get up, I have not been able to do this in 5 years”

He was grinning ear to ear.

I was stunned, still am and he is still reporting that the process continues to provide the benefit he initially experienced.

My thought on the Blue Magic result is that the Reta is the reason it worked by reducing inflammation and allowing the skin to heal with a bit of help from that product.

I’d not seen this level of improvement in any other psoriasis person using the Blue Magic on it’s own.

I also know a few people with psoriasis that are on prescription Ozempic as they are T2D. I’ve not seen them experience this level of improvement on that one.

From using Eloralintide + Reta together for 3 months, i can see why elora will be great for weight loss, but i can’t see elora being good for longevity, i found myself eating almost nothing even at 1mg, at least for me, it was super super strong.

I think you can safely conclude that for your n=1 case. Whether that applies to a whole population is a different question.

Many people on GLP1s are non/poor-responders, it’s easy to see with the trial data. Eloralintide is yet another option for some poor-non-responders.

Yup, that’s why i said for me. On other hand i been using Retatrutide for 1 year on a higher end dosage and it’s been great

I didn’t realize it was grey market available yet.

My heart rate should be lower… Also, I don’t need to lose weight.

I use low dose Reta for the health benefits (and quieting the food noise is also nice) and can still eat plenty.

I’ve been off for three weeks to see if it was making my hr higher, and it doesn’t seem to be related.

Is this anything I want to learn more about with regards to lowering hr?

I would consider making the switch because im very sensitive to the heart rate increase on Reta, but if the appetite suppression is that strong on Elora, then a dose of 0.5mg might be better. I am not looking to lose fat.

Possibly, as amylin agonists can lower rhr. Your question should be whether the metabolic benefits of eloralintide are equivalent to those of retatrutide, so that you can substitue one for the other.

Interesting that ~50% of partients were already on a SGLT2i, and that cystatin-C eGFR was improved vs patients on insulin.
