Peptides / Bioregulators

Which supplier, which peptides, which ones oral, which ones injected, any side effects and any positive effects?

Outside of the obvious fact that GLP1s, HCG, HMG, HGH and insulin peptides work, it does seem that BPC157 works to some degree both subQ and oral.

Epitalon seems so promising but I don’t see enough data to warrant recommending it to people. Pinealon also looks promising, and yet I don’t see enough data. I am curious to try both of these orally.

When Dr. Bill Lawrence first appeared on the scene a few years back, he was punting oral bioregulator peptides. No injectables. There were a number of websites around the world that were selling these oral peptides but they all stemmed from Professor Vladimir Khavinson work in Russia. www.naturesmarvels.com is a good example of what’s being sold.

The messaging, “It may take four years to notice any effects”, should have been the warning signal. Who in the biohacker community is prepared to spend thousands of dollars and wait four year to see if there’s some effect? Well, apart from people like me (blush).

I have no experience of injectable peptides but I have no doubt that some of these work and could be very exciting. OneSkin topical peptides undoubtedly work although expensive.

However, I agree with Matt K when he suggests that most peptide treatments are like the, “wild west”.

Didn’t do much for me. I tried a personal experiment.

One benefit it is claimed to have is to increase telomere length. I’ve been measuring mine with the Trudiagnostic epigenetic DNA test, 6 tests in 5 years. The first 4 tests they were getting longer each test (I’ve posted my results before). I was taking NMN and NR, alternating those 2 depending on what else I was doing at the time. 7 months before the 5th test I stopped taking either of those and started Epitalon. My next test, telomers had gotten shorter. I stopped Epitalon and started back on NR, this time as a component of my MAX-5 Super Mix and the telomeres started recovering what had been lost.

Correlation is not causation, so it may have been something else that caused the dip.

Also I never “felt” much from Epitalon, but I don’t put a lot of stock in my feelings, I prefer measurements when I have the opportunity to measure.

I think one of my issues is that I “feel” pretty optimized and it would take an effect like I experienced when I did the first high dose cycle of SS 31 (10+10mg per day for 10 days) for me to say I felt that.

Recently I do notice when I take a break from the Ipa+CJC, more anthric pain after 2 weeks off. Reduction in pain after 1 week back on. Did see something interesting with the Renpho scale, a slight increase in VAT to 4lb (after months of stable 3lb indicated) that decreased after resumption of Ipa+CJC.

hGH is one of the better VAT (visceral adipose tissue) reducers.

I notice a difference when I take an extra dose of BPC+TB+GHK-cu when I’ve done something stupid in my physical activities. This on top of my daily 500mcg+500mcg+2.0mg shot in the morning.

And of course the GLP1 journey is easily measured.

As is my response to DSIP.

Did not notice much with extreme dosing with MOTS-c. 12mg per day for 30 days. 24x the Bro dose. That dose is based on a HED from the 30 day mouse trials that the hoopla is based on. Maybe an increase in muscle tone.

I carry NAD because people buy it.

Any time I get a request for that I send them a PDF the explains why NAD does not work, that it’s a scam and not to waste their money and just start taking NMN or NR orally. Most cancel their request, a few don’t care that it doesn’t work and place the order…

There are a few I refuse to carry and I’ll probably stop carrying NAD when I run out. I don’t do SLU-PP-332, it does not work in humans in it’s present format. the 915 version probably does as it was specifically designed to do so. And there are a few others.

I find that some effects are slow, because they are slow they become my new normal and I only notice there was an improvement when I stop.

Interestingly some of the things never come back because they are finally healed like my 2 ankles  they don’t “unheal”

If asked, I offer people some of my personal experience (I’ve now used over 20 peptides) but I let them make the decision on what they want to try. I try not to bias new clients, unless I feel strongly against a peptide.

Anybody try Semax or Selank? We have been using Selank a bit to see if it will result in calm focus for work and chores. I’ve noticed that Semax is often used with the Selank or at least it is sold as a peptide blend.

Used them both. I thought I did get a little calming effect mainly from semax, nowhere near to make a real difference to lift up the mood, at least in my case.

I’ve got NA Selank. Haven’t noticed much, GB115 is far superior for these type of effects.

I used Semax nasal spray, and it seemed to have an immediate but short-lasting mental boost.

Have you tried SLU-PP-915?

It is not available from any Chinese source at this time. It may be available from some of the real research companies but the price will be exorbitant for the dose required.

I see people reporting good effects from it. It probably has niche uses. I feel better about SS-31 for boosting mitochondria and then some kind of mitophagy and mitochondrial biogenesis strategies

Sam Altman Overdosed on GLP-1s⁣

I have a friend who went to a local spa to get glp1 injections. She said she was violently sick and couldn’t eat for days… I suspected they overdosed her, too.

Are these overdoses, or documented adverse events? Hard to tell if you don’t know the dose, and dose escalation schedule someone is on.

I know a guy who is at the max clinical dose of Retatrutide 12mg per week. He misunderstood something and did 2 shots in a row, 24mg of Reta.

He was about half way through losing 100lb’s when he did this.

He was a bit freaked out to say the least. Thought about going to the hospital but decided not to and monitored his CGM and BP closely for the next week.

Zero side effects except lost 5lb that week.

High dose GLP1 is not as serious as people think, other than some potential common side effects being magnified that are experienced at normal dose levels.

GLP1 is more of an on demand type of process, if there is no demand it’s just idling along, not doing much with regard to glucose control. It does not make people hypoglycemic as far as I know. Other side effects, it may have some effect depending on the individual.

Millions of people are using peptides with only a few dozen reports of negative health effects. The biggest complaint is from people who have been ripped off, part of the cost of doing business.

If peptide x increases risk of cancer or decreases cancer survival over time, for instance, how would any of us know?

I get a lot of people asking about Osteo and I tell them there is no magic bullitt in peptides for this condition. Most are disappointed to hear that, as am I.

I have arthritis in my hands and have been doing/taking things for that for 15 years, trying to prepare for the eventuality of this condition. I’m in much better condition at 70, in this matter, than any of my predecessors, father, grand fathers, grand mothers, etc.

I do notice a difference when I cycle off the Ipa + CJC stack though, more pain, less flexibility.
