New Rapamycin podcast with Pankaj Kapahi

New rapamycin podcast episode out  In this episode of “Rapamycin Master Series” I interview the longevity researcher Pankaj Kapahi. He has his own lab at Buck Institute for Research on Aging and has done two decades of research in areas such as dietary restriction, fasting, rapamycin, nutrition and metabolism. Pankaj was one of the pioneer researchers who discovered in the beginning of 2000 that genetic inhibition of mTOR led to life extension in flies.

Interesting the dosage he takes is 1mg per day, and not the usual once-per week favoured by others.

Yes, its always interesting when someone is doing in different ways because it forces us to rethink who is more one the right path and not  it can also be that there is not one way to achieve what we are all trying to achieve.

Excellent interview. He really gives good points. I did not manage to listen it before but I bookmarked it and I am really happy I did. He seems really knowledgable and down to earth to what extends life and healthspan… I really like his way of thinking, it is not one thing, but many things and it is quite individual but involves few basic principles. What and how much we eat, how much we exercise, how we hake care of our psychic wellbeing and additionally, can I add interventions that would help with the above. And I picked up that balance is really important in everything we do, even too much of a good thing becomes limiting in what we want to achieve. There are different (individual) paths to the same goal.

:+1: great to hear and a very good summary of key takeaways!

This was good. Better than expected due to his differing point of view on dosing. I need to look into the AGE issue more closely. Thanks for doing this!

As of Dec 22 2023, Glylo is offering 50% off at the company website.

Seems inexpensive at that price. I have no idea how long the code will work. I am not affiliated
