NeuroAge Therapeutics has announced Younger 2027, a structured, six-month biological aging competition designed to evaluate multi-modal longevity and healthspan interventions across human participants. With baseline diagnostics shipping in late 2026 ahead of an in-person kickoff on January 11–12, 2027, at Fort Mason in San Francisco, the initiative evaluates whether self-directed lifestyle, nutritional, or therapeutic protocols can measurably reverse biological age before final testing closes in August 2027.
Rather than relying on a single surrogate endpoint, the competition tracks biological aging across multiple distinct physiological domains:
- Epigenetics & Systemic Biomarkers: TruDiagnostic’s DNA methylation suite, incorporating DunedinPACE pace-of-aging metrics, SymphonyAge 11-organ system clocks, and clinical blood biomarker panels.
- Neurocognitive Metrics: NeuroAge’s mobile-administered NeuroGames cognitive battery, quantifying processing speed, memory, and executive function.
- Facial Senescence: FaceAge, a deep-learning vision algorithm developed at the Harvard AIM Lab that infers biological age and mortality hazard from standardized facial photography.
- Functional Diagnostics: Cardiorespiratory fitness (VO2 max via wearable integration), grip dynamometry, and neuromuscular capacity.
A high-tier “Ultra” cohort adds serial non-contrast brain MRIs with volumetric analysis, GlycanAge IgG glycan inflammatory profiling, RNA-based transcriptomic neuroinflammation assays, and access to pre-release proteomic and epigenetic clocks developed at Yale University and Stanford-affiliated Vero Bioscience.
