It would be nice if the percentage of our lives spent in poor health was going down - but that’s not the case. It’s going up with time, and it’s worse for higher income countries - ouch! This study really puts the focus on the need to increase healthspan, even more than lifespan.
Maybe some folks on this forum will beat these odds. Best of luck to you all - I think you are focused on the right goals. The progress made here will someday be recognized as world-shaking!
As promising as rapamycin is, I’m betting on the fasting-mimicking diet, which I guess is a backdoor way to inhibit mtor. But urolithin-A sure is promising.
