I try to take the sub microbial dose of 40mg, but I think there is probably an impact at even this low dose.
Anyone aware of anything that could reverse sun/UV damage? For someone that perhaps didnt use suncreen much in the past
Isnāt tretinoin known to do this?
I used Oneskin and it worked wonders for my sub damage. It ls a bit pricey, but most of the effects happens in the first month anyway.
Ive heard this and also niacinamide serum as well but wasnt aware of anything concrete
most of skin aging is sun damage. So - just read this entire thread from the top and youāll get lots of science and lots of ideas. Tretinoin / Retin A is a good place to start.
You can also use 5FU, florouricil/effudex which is a topic chemotherapeutic agent that can address hidden cell damage. Itās a taxing process, but it works, and you might be able to get the cream from your doctor.
which product of theirs worked for you in particular?
So far ive gathered that tretinoin and niacinamide cream/serum may do it, so will look to get those. Those along with moisturizer, SPF50 and Vit C serum as I currently do. Though i feel that being able to wfh has been my biggest advantage as I this makes sure im not out much during the day when UV is highest.
You can get a YT transcript or use summerize.tech I really do not like watching/listening to technical videos. Iād rather cut to the chase and get the good stuff and be able to review it at my own pace.

No answers in that video, only more questions and some theory.
Here is one of the better papers on elastin.
Conclusion
Many studies on elastin structure and biosynthesis have been conducted, but its specific method of assembly has not been determined thus far. At present, studies on elastin expression regulation often tend to focus exclusively on cell experiments or animal models and thus cannot accurately simulate the complex internal environmental homeostasis of humans. This homeostasis is often accompanied by alterations of elastin expression levels and structures in many cardiovascular diseases. However, its accurate mechanism of action is complex and remains inconclusive. Itās necessary for us to better understand how enzymes associated with inflammation lead to structural remodeling and loss of functional integrity of elastic fibers in heart diseases. And itās also important to seek biomarkers of elastic fiber injury to realize the diagnosis and treatment in the early stages of diseases. Therefore, the comprehensive action of elastin and its various regulatory molecules must be explored to establish strategies for the prevention and treatment of related diseases.
@Bicep @Walter_Brown can you confirm which Tremella supplement youāre taking from Fullscript? I see several. Iād be curious to try if it still is working for you. Anyone else tried it?
Iām using it!! I bought 3 bottles as my experiment after they raved and am almost done with my last bottle.
Iāll also be curious to learn if they are still taking it.
I also started taking hyaluronic acid at the same time, so I canāt really know what is doing what, but my skin is definitely less dry.
I donāt really notice anything else but I donāt have too many skin issues other than being old!
I do plan to take a break after Iām done with my bottle to see if I notice any decline. That will be the real test due to the HA Iām taking.
I bought the Real Mushrooms brand after leaning from the Wise Athletes podcast @Joseph_Lavelle they have good quality control.
And incase I can pile on to your mushroom questionā¦I was going to ask this elsewhere, but while we are talking mushroomsā¦
Iām also almost done with my bottle of Real Mushrooms 5 defenders and their Ergo + Ergothioneine
I want to buy 1 bottle of mushrooms in the future instead of 3, so Iād love to hear opinions on what everyone else would choose?

Steve - do you use the paid version of the site? Iām just wondering if you can get more in-depth summaries. The ones Iāve seen using the free version are very short and superficial. Iād like to be able to control the depth/length of the summary; say 1 or two pages of summary would be ideal, depending on length of video.
I use the free version. For that last video āTHE SLU-PP-332 SEMINAR,ā it was 5 pages of text, 2,000 words for a 1 hour video but may have missed some of the details. When I reviewed the text I didnāt see anything Iād have to dig deeper on. It does have time stamps every 5 minutes with a link back to the video so it would more quickly lead to the area of interest.
You need to turn on closed captioning for the best result.
You will see a 1 or 2 secion summary first, then click on the MORE button for the details the free version provides. Then I cut and paste that into a word doc.
Out of curiosity I signed up for the paid version.
The results are exactly the same, the only difference is you can get up to 200 reports a day.
The face cream. It was their first offering.
Yes, I got the Real Mushrooms 1000mg and you take 2/day. It makes my skin more moist and the Beta(1,3)(1,6)- glucans help fight off the virus whatever is going around. I can find a study to that effect. My daughter sent it to me as she takes a much more massive and expensive dose of that which does not come from Tremella.
Weāre in the field finally and I donāt have much time now.
Iām also taking it and see good results!
@LaraPo Great to see this from you too!
I knew I had more moisture but wasnāt sure if it was from this or the hyaluronic acid I began at the same time. I guess Iāll continue taking it!
Iām also taking Real Mushrooms. Curious which brand you chose?
