How much are you guys paying for Rapacan (Eris/Biocon) from India / China?

Hey guys,

I was quoted on IndiaMart for 8.5 USD/10mg, so 0.85 USD/1mg for Rapacan, I believe this is the normal price but I am curious how much are you guys paying for Rapamycin.

PS: I’ve been taking Rapamycin for the past 6 years

Here is pricing from Maulik from a few months ago:

• Sirolimus
* RAPACan by Eris Lifesciences Ltd. - 1mg - 50$ / 100 tablets
* Siromus by Zydus Cadila - 1mg - 85$ / 102 tablets

sign, my current supplier in India charge more, 8.5 USD/10mg, but I’ve have been with him for the past 6 years, always sourced from him, not sure if I should change supplier to save a few dollars per dose…

I found out you could buy pure Rapamycin powder from China, super cheap, 99% pure, they said it’s for medical students do lab tests not for human consumption, I’ve read pure Rapamycin powder would degrade, not stable, but I believe you could dissolve it in DMSO and store in -18 C.

The price to source from China is crazy level cheap, 8 USD/100mg 99% pure Rapacymin powder, no prescription needed, just order online with an App, with a click of a button delivery to your home.

This would be good for making rapamycin skin cream and toothpaste. People have posted sources for this in the past - but if you have a new source, please post it:

In China, they are allowed to sell pure Rapamycin powder via shopping app, just download a popular shopping app like Tmall and do a simple search, all sorts of suppliers but they emphasize it’s for “Research Only”

Did I got the right info about Maulik?

The main issue is that as a powder it’s not very effective orally.

Rapa pills have an enteric coating to survive the acid environment in your stomach before moving further down the digestive tract where it is absorbed. Without that coating the bioavailability is significantly degraded.

1- Rapacan 1mg Tablet ; Sirolimus (1mg) ; Eris = 6.5 USD for 10 Tablets.
2- Siromus 1mg Tablet ; Sirolimus (1mg) ; ZYDUS = 6.5 USD for 6 Tablets.

Thanks for the info, now I know why the suppliers in China kept saying “it’s not a drug, won’t work”! And I kept telling them I been taking Rapamycin for 6 years I know what I am doing! Turns out I don’t know what I was doing!

There are several methods for processing raw rapamycin power into a usable pharmaceutical. The first, least efficient, and cheapest is probably taking it with a fatty meal. From there, enteric coated capsules are probably next best (but only if the powder is sufficiently micronized). After that comes techniques for esterification, solubilization, and finally – the best and most expensive – nanostructure crystallization. Esterification and solubilization can increase assimilation manyfold (1000x for some people), but wet processing of nanocrystals not only increases assimilation but reduces inter- and intra-person assimilation variance. I’m not certain but I believe Pfizer remains the sole innovator using this specific proprietary nanocrystal method for the brand-name drug. However, a few generic manufacturers (e.g., Zydus Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Reddy’s, Glenmark) now claim to produce bioequivalent versions. All of these processes turn rapamycin into a functionally different medication in contrast with raw powered. Pharmaceutical function = chemical structure + formulation + person + environmental; context.

Of the brands and marketing names generally available in India, I will now take only Zydus brand and I’m looking into a way to source Pfizer.

Can you share a source that other people can access? Did you have to get a prescription from a doctor? Can people outside china purchase from this source/ reseller / pharmacy?

I’m a native Chinese. I bought Pfizer Rapamune in taobao.com & jd.com. (they are similar to indiamart.com, and without prescription)

However, I know some Chinese people who sell the Turkish version of Pfizer Rapamycin. Once I asked them. They said it costs 2,000 RMB for a box of 100 tablets. They should be able to ship it abroad.

you are over paying for Rapamune, once I was offered by sellers on LittleRedNote for 137RMB of 10 tablets :smiley:

have you purchase from them before? with cross border e commerce, it always runs the risks of not receiving the products after sending out your payments via Wise.

Plus Chinese custom always open the parcel to check the content so 500 pills at a time seems a bit risky, I used to buy around 300 pills at a time from India, so far so good, Chinese custom opened my parcel but always let it go through.

Yeah, I’ve bought from them before—multiple times, actually. I used Wise for the payment. Chinese Customs did confiscate my package once, but for the second shipment, I asked them to split the pills from the original packaging and compress the box to make it smaller. That way, it cleared Customs smoothly.
