Fascinating ! That’s why I failed…not enough grams…
How long does the citrulline last for after ingestion ? I imagine it’s some good few hours…but your experience will be a lot better than my guess.
Thanks for that ! Encouraging…

For your cognitive health supplements, have you been able to find any formulations containing several of them together? It would be nice to have them all in one pill.

Ubiquinol (200mg)
I eat lots of dark chocolate and take cacao powder, consume shiitake mushrooms daily for the spermidine and ergothionine, eat sardines daily for the omega 3, etc so I don’t supplement with those things.
No, but at your age you probably don’t need much.
My current daily stack for an old man:
Lithium
Bacopa
Modafinil
Galantamine
Glad it helped! ![]()
Citrulline peaks in plasma about 1 hour after ingestion and maintains elevated arginine and NO levels for roughly 4–6 hours (Schwedhelm 2008; Bailey 2015).
Interestingly, there’s also a loading effect – with daily intake (3–6 g for ~1 week) baseline plasma arginine gradually rises, so NO remains higher even between doses. That’s why consistent use feels smoother and more potent over time, not just a transient “pump” spike.
So:
Acute: 1 h → peak, 4–6 h → active window
Chronic: 3–6 g/day → raised baseline NO after several days
Correct I might not need some of it but I don’t think it’ll hurt either and I have no problem spending money when it comes to my health.
Now that’s a stack! Looks like some changes since last time
Did you really drop these - thyroid, nebivolol, telmisartan, trazodone?
Guess you prefer sildenafil over tadalafil. 20mg tadalafil a day would be fun though.
Yes thanks for pointing all that out.
So my Free and Total T3 levels aren’t as good as I’d like them to be but whenever I take thyroid medication at any dose, I just get even more tired for some mysterious reason so I kind of gave up on it for the time being.
Telmisartan and Nebivolol I stopped because blood pressure is already on the low side
Trazodone stopped working and I notice I feel happier when I don’t take it for some odd reason.
I switched to Sildenafil because I get less side effects but still take tadafil when “necessary”
Thank you Sir ! You might have just saved my sex life !
Respect !
Right on.
Not sure if you have tried Pentosan Polysulfate (Elmiron), but it’s something to look into as you mentioned a few products you use for joints.
Here’s mine (42, male with some cardiovascular risk factors):

Rosuvastatin 5 mg
Ezetimibe 10 mg

Taurine 2 g
Cocoa flavanols 750 mg
Aged garlic extract 1.2 g
L-Citrulline 3 g
Astaxanthin 12 mg
Lutein 25 mg/Zeaxanthin 5 mg

I’m not familiar with it, but I will check it out
Nice… my stack very, very similar… with a few extras Omega 3 (hate sardines), Magnesium Citrate, Zinc, Boron, K2, Lecithin and D3.
Ryker reckons the effective dose of Astaxanthin is 4mg so I switched down from 12mg.
Notice any negatives from nandrolone?
Not at all. I’ve used as high as 200mg per week for months for muscle building and never had any negative side. No change in echocardiogram either before/after, which could be due to the other health preventative things I do. I wouldn’t feel comfortable going above that long term though.
100mg per week is a good maintenance dose for me and makes it easier to train pain free. I don’t see much risk in that. Rodent studies showed harm at much higher does.
Ambient, I owed you my stack from the thyroid thread, but I’ll post it here.

I’ve heard negative sexual side effects and negative mental side effects. That was my main concern. Which ester do you use?
Thanks for posting your great stack!
Not medical advice…
To me it appears that you have too much gaba raising stuff and glutamate (nmda) & catecholamine (dopamine/noradrenaline) lowering type stuff. Maybe even raising adenosine if you don’t drink coffee or take caffeine. Perhaps lowering cortisol, etc.
So, you might want to play around with when you take supplements, so daytime vs night time.
Could consider adding in tyrosine powder in day time like 1g to 5g. This will balance out your other aminos like taurine(which is more calming).
Or you could get a medication like modafinil, ritalin, wellbutrin, some type of reuptake inhibitor, Beta 2 agonists like salbutamol, or whatever RX your doctor and you are good with.
AMPK is a good pathway and I figured you should already be targeting it with your stack.
Metformin perhaps?
Forskolin extract 10-20% supplement is pretty cool in regards to boosting thyroid levels, and cAMP levels. Which might boost energy and mood etc.
Things that would lower catecholamines or slow my day time energy down from your stack (at least from what I’ve tried) would be the high dose magnesium, 12mg astaxanthin, taurine, creatine, progesterone, LDN, melatonin high dose, maybe some of the stuff I’ve never tried that’s in your stack.
Wow, you put much more time into this than I had expected, so thank you!!
I’ll do some googling to try to absorb some of these new concepts/terms you’ve shared, and I might pm you with some follow ups.
I drink two lattes every morning, so roger on caffeine
Regarding ritalin. Aprox 20 years ago I was on adderall for aprox 3 months for my ADD and it was the BEST 3 months!!! Clouds parted and angel sang… but alas, with heart disease, I was told it’s nothing I should mess with… I’m fully functional without it, so I don’t push it.
You mentioned some things that might bring my energy down, and ya know, maybe that is why, for the first time in my life, I sleep like a baby!! Life long insomniac until rapa came along… .and as I added more and more things, it kept improving (LDN was a huge add).
On playing with timing… funny you say that becasue I now have something I can try… I was taking taurine before bed, and recently I switched to powder form intead of capsules and am now taking it in my earlier powder mix… the only reason I did this is because there is so much talk here about not taking glycine and taurine together… Maybe I’ll try adding it back at the end of the day, again, to see if that could help.
You also mentioned magnesium. I was taking a mag supplement that contained malate and glycinate, but then I replaced it with two separate mag pills, and after reading malate might be good for energy, I then started taking the mag malate early in the day instead of before bed.
