Can we measure somehow levels of mTorC1 and mTorC2?

Almost every drug tested in NIA ITP works via mTorC1 inhibition or mTorC2 activation

  • Rapamycin increases lifespan in mice because it inhibits mTorC1 in both sexes
  • 17 alfa estradiol increases lifespan in male mice only and it inhibits mTorC1 (but it doesn’t inhibit mTorC1 in female mice)
  • Canagliflozin increased lifespan in male mice only and it inhibits mTorC1 in male mice only
  • Acarbose: activates mTorC2 and inhibits mTorC1 (more strongly in male mice)

Do we have any way to measure levels of mTorC1 and mTorC2 expression in humans?

There was a posting started on 23 February, 2022 on this subject see link below;

All is off the shelf equipment, cost to do this in the USA is in the $4,000.00 range.
