Two sellers have indicated that they’re taking orders until the 15th
Received my packages from Maulik. Just places another order. it’s gonna be tight.
Hi Cronos, I just sent payment using Wise to a bank in Lithuania as Maulik requested. I had to reduce my order substantially to avoid multiple addresses. He said tomorrow is the last day he will be shipping. All of this makes me quite uneasy. Are tracking your order?
Did you contact someone specifically at Laxminarayan ? All I saw was a general emaill, they are not on whatsapp.
Yes, but only one of the first three packages sent has shown any movement. I would expect (and hope!) that the others follow very soon!
Let’s hope so. This is a nail biting experience. I just hope things go back to normal in 2 years!
I ordered one small box from Maulik, received a tracking number from him on 10/05. So far, per the tracking, it hasn’t progressed from USPS waiting to receive the package. Argh… hope it goes through.
I’d say 3 years minimum, because it’s not like in 2 years 4 months on January 20, 2029 everything snaps back to normal. It takes time to first get enough political momentum to get to a decision to change the rules (not a trivial process), it’s low priority in the rush of all other changes that will be pressing in the first year, and then formulate and implement the new rules. So, at best 3-4 years. And that’s being optimistic. Meanwhile how many of us have a reserve built up for 3-4 years, even assuming you don’t want another drug and your stack will be unchanged for the next few years. Looks bleak, unless reliable workarounds can be developed. YMMV.
I do. I have Rapa 4.5 years everything else 4-6 years (EZE, Pita, telmisartan, metformin/Imeglimin, Empa/Cana, LDN, DOXY, Acarbose, Finasteride, Mino and couple more I forgot their names). I have Viagra and Cialis for 10 years or so,
I’m a bit of a binge byer/everything. I often go shopping for one thing and come home with three pairs of same things LOL, and maybe that’s why I have so many meds stocked. I wasn’t even thinking of the current situation/October 22, as I had bought them all latest last winter and spring. I just like to have plenty on hand I guess.
As far as new rules/October 22 thing, I’m not necessarily worried about customs as much as I’m worried that maybe suppliers will refuse to ship/becomes harder/riskier for them. As far as customs and clearing it will still be relatively the same as before I think, as many of my packages don’t usually say medication. They rather say something all different or at time it says supplements.
Maybe suppliers will be willing to experiment with shipping packages of a size which does not draw attention, labeled as cosmetics, etc. which would mean at least we could simply order smaller amounts more frequently. Its a huge loss of livelihood for them so I hope they are motivated to find ways around this.
Yes, but I don’t think it’ll be done through mislabeling. If caught, it means blacklisting. Hopefully they’ll find a reliable way, though there may be some initial failures until kinks get ironed out, then escalation stateside - it’s a never ending game of cat and mouse.
I use email and just tack it onto the last email I got from them. No, I don’t know anybody.
Randomly showed up. They gave me a tracking number and it never worked for me, but I have to admit I don’t watch the things very often. the number still doesn’t work. I just tried again and it tells me nothing. I tend to order and forget, then after a few weeks I might ask what’s going on. I’ve only had one package that didn’t make it and they sent another which did.
One package just hit customs. Waiting for booking for yesterday’s order. Maybe things will ease up later this year. Cutting people off from Canada is a big deal.
If the majority of imported meds by individuals come from Canada, maybe that’s where the customs priority would be focused on when it comes to meds. But who knows, maybe it’s across the board and random, no rhyme or reason. Just a drag, what can I say - probably time to hunker down and watch how things develop… would be nice if the seniors affected and their families set fire to the seats of our congressional reps to get them moving, but I have little hope - a study came out recently which showed that our reps overwhelmingly legislate in conflict with majority voters desires, and instead align with lobbyists. Corruption at all levels, and we’re left to pick up the pieces.
I think most of the problems in the USA on this are caused by executive order not by congressional decision.
Thanks for that info, which is encouraging. I had always been able to accurately track my packages before.
I think you are right here. I have not seen any involvement in Congress on these issues… this is all from the Executive branch / Executive orders.
This is exactly why I just bought a 4 year supply of Rapamycin for my father - on the airplane to the USA so it says.
I have a 5 year supply for myself already.
Any update?
