Thanks to those who recommended Maulik - he was an excellent seller, apart from payment platform issues which were eventually resolved. The first part of my order was just delivered (US) and the second parcel is on its way. I will definitely order from him again.
Update. I received 2 more packages from Jagdish including one I thought had been lost. However that package had been opened and resealed and it appears 30 out of 370 tabs were removed. So the seizure rate goes down to 2 out of 7 packages with 1 more in transit. 29% is better than 50%.
What is a bit worrisome is why tabs were removed from the package.
Iām guessing they might have removed them for further testing. I hear that they sometimes do further tests to see if other substances are coming in (by being labelled as medicine).
Good news. The remaining two packages, the tracking has been restored (I donāt know why it didnāt work before) and they are still in India. So they may actually make it through as well! Hereās hoping.
Does this mean you didnāt lose any packages (assuming these two arrive) or are these in addition to the ones you already lost?
I ordered 7 packages. 1 is confirmed lost. I have received 5 packages. The other two I thought were lost are now tracking again. It is possible that I get all of the packages as Jagdish reshipped the lost package, making it the 8th. Hereās hoping they all make it through. So I am waiting on 3 packages. 2 of which, according to tracking, havenāt left India which is strange in and of itself.
Have you ever lost a package from Maulik?
Yes, the only package I lost before was from Maulik back in January of last year. However, it was a very large package of thousands of pills costing me 600 USD. This is the first time ordering since then.
Oh, thatās great. With laxminarayan he says that heāll split the costs of a new shipment if a shipment fails. So the buyer repays 50% of the original cost.
My latest buy from Laxminarayan has been in customs since Feb. 4. Not that big of an order. When do I give up and order another?
I just had a shipment from Maulik take 1 week to arrive. Small box. He splits a large order into small shipments. 2nd box on the way.
Ugh. Where is this customs, may I ask?
My orders will probably all go through Jamaica, Ny., I think, and Iām kind of counting on this next one being more timely than that.
That said, it seems like some here have had to wait a couple of months on customs for packages from other sellers, so it doesnāt sound like now is the time to give up unless you have the spare cash and would just as soon have a larger supply in the end.
He did something peculiar and sent out a small gift to me a few days before my last order (something where it probably costs him far more to ship than the gift is worth). I think heās testing the mailing systemāand possibly also trying to increase the probability that if they do open one of his packages, it might be something of no concern so that they donāt pay him any heed in the future.
The previous package I ordered from him was giftwrapped, and the interior was wrapped in foil.
Nice timing! Does he charge you shipping for each of the smaller orders, or is his $30 base shipping rate divided between all the shipments? Iāve noticed that some sellers want to break even small orders into multiple shipments but then charge you a fair amount in shipping for each of them, which doesnāt suit me financially. I never got far enough in a potential order from him to know if he was going to multiply the shipping cost.
Paid twice for shipping. $30x2.
Thanks for getting back to me. That helps me to predict about what he might charge in total for a request. (Their going shipping rates are not what they actually pay for shipping, so there are decisions that they make. Like some will charge half or a third for the shipping of subsequent packages.)
No, but with most suppliers we have to consider a handling charge. Which would include paying someone for gathering and packing the items. Based on what I pay for some shipping from some US firms, it seems like a reasonable amount to help ensure that the packages get through. Go to your local UPS store and see how much it costs to ship anything a few hundred miles, and that does not include handling.
Oh, absolutely. But I need to budget very tightly. So if the seller is going to divide even small orders of cheap medicationās into multiple packages, I need to take that into account. And if I am deciding between sellers who do not charge the full fee for subsequent packages and those who do, I am likely to choose accordingly.
I think you can order reasonable amounts depending on the product packaging. Things like modafinil, tadalafil, dutasteride, rapamycin, and things that are reasonably small tablets and you can safely order in one package in amounts up to 600 tablets, in my experience.
Things like imeglimin and bempedoic acid are large tablets, and I would limit my order to about 400 tablets. I have also ordered 30 tubes of tretinoin cream in one order.
With most sellers, that is up to you. They only make recommendations. So, just tell them to put it in one package.
Interacting w Maulik, he preferred to divide my first small order into two until I was chatting w someone else who wasnāt planning to divide it. Iāve asked him several times what he considers the right amount for one package so that I might possibly plan accordingly, but he never answers me on that question. Thanks for the input on amounts!
I think Iād hesitate to ask for one packages where they are set in two bc they may feel Iām asking something of them that could put their business w Americans into dangerāgetting them flagged at customs.
