Fwiw, I misread, and the fall and winter reviews I was looking at were from a year ago. I don’t see any USA reviews for orders that recent. Nonetheless, I will probably place an order tomorrow.
Final report on this new trial balloon with Jagdish. The product arrived yesterday here in Arizona, seven days after the order was placed in the system. From the time stamps, it doesn’t look like the stateside Customs system performed any human inspection.

OK, so an update on the package that was seemingly stuck in customs since December 17 - I just received it today into my hands. It looks like it was not opened. Frankly, I had given up on the package figuring it was seized. Looks like I got lucky.
So the timeline was: meds ordered December 6, dispatched by the vendor December 9 and “Inbound into customs” on December 17 where it was stuck until started moving again January 5 and finally in my hands today, January 7.
Meanwhile, the vendor himself contacted me (through email - I only deal through email) on January 1 to acknowledge that the package seems stuck and said they are monitoring the situation. I was happy that the vendor was involved beyond just shipping the package and forgetting about it. FWIW, I can say I really like this particular vendor and have had excellent customer service - just speaking for myself based on my experiences I would highly recommend them - excellent prices, very fast in turnaround, very responsive, no BS:

Has anyone else been having problems signing into IndiaMart?
The OTP (code they send to make sure it’s you) keeps simply not arriving…
I think my first order made it through customs just fine, and it came very near my town. But then it decided to go on a vacation in some podunk towns in Poconos and seems to be moving the wrong direction when it moves. I trust I’ll get it eventually, since it had come so close. Nonethelesss, I thought I’d check in with my seller but simply can’t log into IndiaMart today.
Nevermind. It’s working now.
I received one random OTP code (of the many requests I made) several hours after I requested it, which prompted me to try the website again. It’s running.
I received a second order from Jagdish. Again, fast and not delayed stateside by an opening inspection. In contrast to pre-tariff orders, which were shipped in papier mailers taped on the ends, both of these packages was heavily wrapped with tape covering all paper surfaces. The taping was so extensive that it was difficult to open the packages. There may be something to the idea that customs doesn’t want the hassle.

Why sign in? I use IndiaMART to see if a particular drug is widely available and get a general idea of what the prices are. Then I ask my favorite supplier for a quote.
Signing in to IndiaMart is signing in to spam central.

Exactly. I only use IndiaMart to check availability and price, but never sign in and have no account. I only deal with individual vendors and only through email. IndiaMart inserts itself between you and the vendor, is a usability nightmare and a spam machine. Always deal with the vendor directly.

I requested to work by email/message only. With one seller that has meant emailing, and with a couple of others, it ended up meaning messaging on indiamart. I’ve not had a problem with it until now.
For most of the indiamart vendors, Whatsapp is the preferred means of communication. I only use that now

Yeah, and I’d prefer email to all of the above. But whatever the case is, the purchase I made is only tied to the India Mart messaging system.

Maulik is great, but Fyi, I think he is only taking credit cards from you (or maybe some select others). I’m a repeat customer, and last week he said he was not taking them so I had to pay in a different way

My Laxminarayan order arrived.
There had been a pretty significant communication hiccup right before it shipped that had me concerned, but in the end, all was exactly as described with some extras of one product thrown in! The outside was neatly wrapped in decorative wrapping paper, and the medications on the inside were sealed as a whole in aluminum foil—smart wrapping. I paid with remitly (which I happened to still have a very old membership login for) to a family account.
I was also in communication with Maulik, and I felt like he was trying to go out of his way for me—to get more medications in stock, to look into reopening credit card payment (as this thread now indicates he has), etc. I told him that I would speak highly of him here and strongly consider his services in the future depending on which prescriptions I need.

My 13th package in last three months being delivered today. Zero problems with customs or tariffs. And this one was a pretty big order, over 1500 pills and over $500. I was emboldened by the fact that had no issues so took the risk and made a big order. My other orders were between $150 to $250 and 500-600 pills.
