Ora just emailed me that they were investigating the payment problem.
The Apple Pay was what I tried too and it did not work for me either - so you can tell them it’s not a one off. (Even if I then did it via straight credit card after that).
Excellent! Thanks for the leadership and to all who contributed.
@AustraliaLongevity can you bring this up to them, I had the same 10% fee (15 dollars) that is quite outrageous when the credit card processing fee is only a fraction of that.
T
Before I do that, what payment method did you use?
Amex credit card (extra characters)
I’ve forwarded the complaint to them.
I’m asking everyone who is going ahead and taking IPAM themselves to carefully document all effects good and bad that they have. This information coming from people interested in longevity is very valuable.
Came to pay and then it’s already done (unless we want to do more?). Thanks to all the contributors! Now wait and see…
I appreciate your enthusiasm. If you are wanting to fund something that will further our understanding then please donate to the Rapamycin Longevity Labs 601 mTOR inhibitor project! Crowdfunding Project Looks for a “Better Rapamycin”
I’m sooo looking forward to this. Wish we could follow the experiments in real time. That would be awesome
Gave to that one, will wait for the results. I have also quite a few ongoing ones…
Nice. Keep us updated on the ones you paid for. What ones did you do?
I think I already posted in Ora Biomedical Million Molecule Challenge Results (including those waiting for results). I post whenever I have new results.
“The 10% fee is applied to all orders and helps cover processing, handling, storage of drug, licensing fees, and taxes.”
They should quote a price including the “fee” then.
Agreed. I paid the 10% also… if I hadn’t already committed to chipping in $100, I would’ve reduced or cancelled my donation altogether. They probably lose a few people who’d otherwise be donating when they introduce this 10% fee. It’d be MUCH better just to incorporate it into the price upfront!
When I donated to

Around the same time - there was no 10% fee there…
When I get more information from Ora I will make a post here. I will likely make a new post once the results are in.
