Wise Athletes episode on Oral Health

The nitrates used in non organic fertilizers give non organic celery more NO producing substrate!

And yay! — I’m excited for you! I went so all-in I even bought the miswak sticks for gum massage and actually love them (if I feel like a midday tooth care session I just massage with that and now my gums aren’t sore or bloodiness prone anymore).

You’re sure you got the right Closys? I’m putting up pictures of my Amazon orders of all the products just in case :joy:

And the Listerine does taste nasty but it’s actually the “natural” part that tastes so gross — it’s the eucalyptus oil, that’s supposed to help heal and regrow gums. It’s what my aromatherapy diffuser smells like now, as I got it for my congested kids to help them nose breathe at night (it’s supposed to help open the airways).

That is so great!!! I did get the correct cloysis, but is that flavor of listerine ok? If you bought it, I’m sure it is…

On her website, in her box, she shows the green cool mint flavor ??

She says you can use either cool mint or the original but that the original is a little bit stronger — as in better — and whitens teeth more.

Ohhhh, if better, I’ll change my order!!! Takes a village!

Better is a relative term. You might like the taste of cool mint more and therefore keep it in your mouth longer. Maybe try both? I like to go all in for the strongest, biggest, most hardcore version of whatever I dabble in.

That episode really opened my eyes to how interconnected oral health and overall wellness are. I’ve been focusing more on giving my mouth proper “rest periods” between meals and paying attention to nighttime routines, something Dr. Ellie emphasized as crucial for remineralization.

A dental team I know in Caringbah, Shire Doctors and Dentists, also stresses the importance of mouth pH balance and hydration for long-term oral health. They often remind patients that small daily habits like limiting acidic drinks and keeping the mouth closed during sleep can prevent a lot of the issues we tend to treat later on.

This podcast episode really complements what many evidence-based clinics are already teaching about preventive care.

I came across a handy cheat sheet for her system.

I’ll note that the first two days, after I learned how to properly brush my teeth (insert eyeroll), I discovered I had a sensitive area on my gums… after only two days, that spot is no longer sensitive!!

@medaura my Listerine hasn’t arrived yet, but I AM able to tolerate the crest/act! I forgot to pack my own toothpaste a couple years ago and tried to use my husband’s and just about died, so this is a turn of events! I do have to brush my tongue after the Act, but last night I discovered we can use my much preferred cinnamon flavor, so that is on its way, too!

Thank you. That helps!
