Why Do Women Live Longer? Rapamycin Dosing on Women

1. Women live longer by 5 years, also have lower fatality rates from all major illness except Alzheimer’s which could be autoimmune related.
2. In low dose rapamycin, women had substantial bigger response whereas in higher dose, not so much compared to men.
3. Can someone clarify what they discussed at timestamp 15:50 “Males had big response and women had no effect” at higher doses.
4. Talked about there is another rapamycin dosed much higher than ITP (not sure which one). Anyone?
5. Castrated men live longer (lol) but not sure why.
6. Women live longer, could be partially for having two X chromosomes.

Male mice who have lots of sex have similar lifespans as castrated mice. Male mice who exercise have longer lifespans than non-exercizing, castrated mice. Male mice who are not castrated and take 17a-estradiol have significantly longer lifespans than any other mice.
