The total length of blood vessels in an average adult human body is estimated to be:
~100,000 kilometers (~60,000 miles)
This includes:
• Arteries and arterioles: Carry blood away from the heart
• Veins and venules: Carry blood back to the heart
• Capillaries: Microscopic vessels that connect arteries and veins, facilitating nutrient and gas exchange
