Thryroid surgery, tongue's hemangiomas & blood pressure - is it safe to take Rapamycin?

Dear community,
My 77-year-old father is considering Rapamycin for longevity benefits but is concerned about its safety given a couple of his health conditions.

Specifically, one half of his thyroid was removed 42 years ago due to Hashimoto’s Goiter (Autoimmune hypothyroidism). He has since been taking Euthyrox (Levothyroxine sodium) 0.158 mg daily to compensate for natural hormone generation.

He also had a simple tongue surgery two years ago to remove hemangiomas. While his tongue is fine now, mouth ulcers occurs in ~15% cases with Rapamycin, hence it is a concern.

Additionally, my father takes small daily doses of three blood pressure and cholesterol medications:

  • Concor (bisoprolol) - 2.5 mg
  • Cardiomagnyl (acetylsalicylic acid, magnesium hydroxide) - 75 mg
  • Crestor (Rosuvastatin) - 10 mg

Apart from these, he remains active, walking and strength training for 10 hours per week.

I haven’t found an expert who can advise on whether these conditions and medications pose additional risks or side effects with Rapamycin.

I want to ensure my father uses Rapamycin as safely as possible, especially at his age, and avoid complications. If anyone can share experiences or connect me with someone who can offer direct advice, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
