The one thing I wonder about is how long you should take these amino acids before taking a break. The longest of these studies only goes for about 4 months.

The logic (as I understand it) when it comes to taurine is that you are simply supplementing to get back to youthful levels. Taurine drops significantly with age, though we don’t know the reason why (lower absorption, greater excretion, greater need in the body). In other words, I figure supplementation should be an ongoing thing, particularly since the body seems to be good at excreting extra taurine it doesn’t need.

I have been using it for close to 10 years non stop. Why take a break from it?
