Study identifies gut bacteria that regulate cholesterol

Interesting and worth keeping an eye on, but the cynic in me says someone will produce a pill that leads to problems with an overpopulation of these bacteria.

My n=1 says that on a low carb (30g) diet, higher LDL is not a problem: my stress test and calcium score (zero) show no problems after 3 years. And if I increase to 90g of carbs for 5 days to increase my LDL liver receptors, my LDL goes from 190 to 100, so it’s not like much damaged LDL is sticking around.
