has anyone gotten? seems harder to get in blue than red states
You have to get it through one of the longevity doctor clinics that SapereX has partnered with… They don’t seem to have a list of all of these sites, to help you find them. I would expect these to be more in the major cities, like NYC, BOS, SF, Miami, LA, etc… Alex, have you tried just searching on “saperex test clinic”?
@nym , Natalia - it might be helpful to have a list of some of the clinics that people can go do for your testing, on your company website.
Hi all, want to clarify. Till now, the testing was offered through longevity physicians. A lot of people asked over the years if they can get tested and I was concerned that the education wasn’t there to be able to benefit from the results and as a company we did not want to sell something just for the sake of selling.
Over the past 12-18 months, I feel like there is a lot more awareness and understanding of the biology of immune system, access to other testing that may be necessary as a follow up. In fact, we started hearing from physicians that their clients are bringing this test into their clinic and that’s how they find out about us.
So we decided to roll out a pilot of direct access testing to audiences that have a sophistication to research and understand the results and have more clinical data already available to figure out patterns. That’s what I introduced at Mike’s podcast. It’s a little confusing as we have to consider state regulations so bear with me. Direct access testing (buy directly, no physician needed) is available in all states but California, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, Michigan, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Alabama, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Kentucky, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee.
In California, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada you need a provider with MD, DO, PA, NP to order on your behalf. Providers need to have license in this state but don’t have to be your physician.
In Michigan, Maryland, New Jersey, New York no DAT testing is allowed.
In general, access is defined by the address to which the test kit is sent to.
Outside of direct access testing, a physician in any state but New York and New Jersey can order testing. Here eligibility is based on license state.
Clinics that already use SapereX have different business models, some roll in into a membership, some order it as a a-la-cart testing. Membership cost varies greatly and may or may not accept new patients. It would be hard for us to keep track of all this info. If you have a question about a particular state, email support@sapere-bio.com and we can share providers in the area. We do provide training for physicians on the results interpretation so if you have a longevity physician you already work with, it may be the easiest path forward.
