Repeated Gum Infections

Not sure how I landed on this thread but @vic that’s an entrenched chronic infection that hasn’t gone away and rapa must be modulating your immune system in such a way that it becomes noticeable for you. And yes it’s under the gum line so you might not even see it normally. So rapa might exacerbate it but the solution would be to get rid of it not get rid of rapa which won’t get rid of the infection, just its most acute manifestations.

I cannot recommend highly enough the materials of Dr. Ellie Phillips on YouTube. Go to her channel and find the longest videos on gum disease and devour them. The only advice you’ve received on this thread that comports with it is by @blsm yet there’s some more to it. It’s not the sort of thing that you want to hear second hand. Go straight to the source.

I have an implant that was intermittently infected. My dentist said I needed to go back to the periodontist and have it taken out, and then have a bridge made. Well before doing that, tried a tip from Bryan Johnson: brush with food grade tea oil. After a few months, infection cleared up, the gum around the implant went from red to normal pink with no more sensitivity.

Certain essential oils will kill staph mutans, tea tree oil among them. But even easier is the original Listerine, with eucalyptus oil. Rinsing with it post brushing has the same effect. But then Listerine is acidic so needs to be washed down with something ph stabilizing — ACT.
