I have just had confirmation that my GP has done his medical council review of why he will be prescribing Rapamycin off label for me here in NZ so I am in and legal. I will ask him if he is prepared to take on additional patients that want to take Rapa. Under NZ law he will need to be your registered GP to prescribe it for you. Here we go…
I recommend doing the sirolimus blood test…and my preferred brand is RapaPro from IAS…available online
This is about 2x what I paid last time for Rapacan but perhaps RapaPro is a more reliable source and/or has better absorption characteristics. I recall Dr Pelton mentioning a different technology.
Edit: neither price includes shipping or transaction fees. Both were charged on my Rapacan order. I do not know what RapaPro transaction fees will be if any.
Wanted to report here that I have placed 2 orders with Jagdish - R L Pharma over the last 3 or so months and both orders are still held up in customs. 1 in Sydney and 1 in Melbourne. I have not received a letter from customs yet, so I don’t really know what is happening with them except to assume that they are not going to arrive.
The original order has been ‘Presented to import customs’ since the 4th of September.
Hi, i am in Cable Bay, Far North. The doctors up here are living in the stone age and no help at all. I imported 2 lots from India. One got picked up by medsafe, the other made it through.
Yes, but I think longevity prescribing is a national problem rather than one confined to Northland. The Brad Stanfield’s clinical trial that is the only real sign I’ve seen of any activity, and you have to be in Auckland to join it (I am in Whangarei). Given the import issues I’ve more or less given up until we get a more enlightened approach.
100x1mg tablets is $694.99 from Chemist Warehouse with prescription. Does this sound about what you’re paying?
After payment how long did it take them to ship it and give you tracking?
I pay a lot less, but I import from India. You can bring in 3-months supply at a time, be sure to include a copy of the prescription within the package, Customs / MedSafe checks it most times, but lets them through. That’s the NZ experience anyway, not sure if it’s different in AU.
Cool. So with a prescription you can order from these pharmacies overseas without worrying about confiscation. I will look into this.
The prohibitive cost of rapamycin within Australia really put me off.
Hello. I assume when prescribed off label, there’s no Medicare rebate? This is about the price I was quoted too. Did you get any rebate?
I ended up just buying it without prescription. The process was too expensive and convoluted to bother.

PSA for my Aussie mates ![]()
I’m on a telegram with a grey market supplier who announced anyone needing to import anything might be better off to do it now vs waiting because inspections of shipments to Australia are likely to increase.
I have no personal knowledge on the topic and just passing it along because he is most likely in-the-know…. Or just a great salesmen!
That depressing news is not unexpected. The Nanny State (Australia) has never been known to pass up an opportunity to control people’s lives to the “n-th” degree.
It’s really getting ridiculous isn’t it?
Hi there,
New Zealand advice:
Ordered from Rapastore 2mg to take weekly. First time ordering. I have a letter from Medsafe that needs to be signed by a doctor to release the prescription. Any suggestions of doctor with experience with Rapamycin.
Many thanks:)
If you can’t get a prescription I advise buying from a different online pharmacy:

One I particularly like is: Pharmaceutical Tablets and Pharmaceutical Tablet Manufacturer | Shreeji Impex, Surat
Biocon is the brand I use from that store, it is recommended over Siroboon.
I just wondered if there is a doctor in New Zealand that I could see first to get my form completed. (Think NZ is too small for this). I will try my doctor and find out.
Bring some printed evidence about rapamycin/sirolimus to your doctor to make your case.
