Rapamycin, skin tags, and melanoma risks?

Hello everyone!

I have been taking Rapamycin for about a year.

My dog is enrolled in a program to take it but I stopped it because she is a breed that is known to have very high instances of carcinogenic melanoma. If my reading is correct, Rapamycin can reduce non-carcinogenic melanomas but not metastatic ones. Is giving my dog Rapamycin to my dog a bad idea?

Secondly, my wife gets skin tags (acrochordons) and melanoma risk is supposedly not a correlated factor however, I thought I would ask here incase someone has seen any related information that might influence her decision to start rapamycin.

Thank you!!

Regarding skin tags, I recommend you review this post: My DOG, My PARTNER, and ME: A Week by Week Rapalogue - #19 by RapAdmin

Skin tags are benign growths that can be removed if desired. I doubt Rapa has any impact.
Melanoma is a serious skin cancer that is never benign. I doubt Rapa has any relation to causation.
There is no relationship between skin tags and Melanoma.

If the rapa caused or worsened insulin resistance, it could in theory secondarily cause or exacerbate skin tags, but real-world significance unknown.
