Rapamycin & side effect of itchy eyes

Has anyone else experienced itchy eyes while taking rapamycin? I’ve been taking Rapamycin since mid-April, with a daily dose of 1mg up until last week when I switched to a single weekly dose of 4mg. For the past 3 months I had noticed that the inner corners of my eyes were very itchy, which I assumed was just due to heavy pollen. While I do occasionally have mild seasonal allergies, it’s usually only for a couple weeks and marked by sneezing as well. I started on a single dose of 4mg last Friday, and my eyes were itchy as usual, especially on Monday. I just realized this morning that I haven’t rubbed my eyes in the past couple days. I’m going to stick to the weekly dosage for now.

I can understand what you’re talking about. When I was on higher doses, I was getting itchy eyes and clogged ducts, which make it look like you have pink eye,. Happened to me three times within a year.

It takes almost a week or longer to resolve.

Which part of the world do you live in @Smunk ? I think you will probably find that your dose might be higher than your body can tolerate for now but if you persevere with it, it will eventually go away. I used to get hay fever badly and now not a single sign of it. I also used to get gout with each increase in dosage and eventually it went away.
