I tried both Can-C and homemade formulation of carnosine/rapa/transcutol for a couple of years, but got no noticeable results with my cataract: it just got worse, as they typically do. I got the surgery and regret not getting it sooner–with a monofocal lens, my distance vision is great again and closeup is not too bad (with reading or closeup glasses from the drugstore, its perfect).
