Rapamycin and stomach ulcers and/or esophagitis

Does anyone have any info or thoughts on the effects on a stomach ulcer and esophagitis? I started taking rapamycin 6-8 months ago and last month an endoscopy revealed 2 ulcers and inflammation in the lower esophagus but no precancerous changes and negative for h. Pylori and no history of NSAID use. I weaned off of over 10 years use of lansoprazole and now was advised to go back on it. I only take 5mg weekly of rapamycin. If the mouth can develop sores, I wonder about the esophagus and stomach?

Interestingly, in @Krister_Kauppi’s search for better MTOR inhibitors project, it was shown that Lansoprazole works quite well (better than rapa). Not only that it seems to work well with everolimus in slowing down tumors https://faseb.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1096/fj.202600037R

It has been two years since Laura posted, but I just noticed her post. It would not surprise me if Rapamycin slows the turnover of cells in the stomach and esophagus leading to a thinner protective layer. I have had stomach and acid reflux issues for years, and high doses of Rapa seem to make it worse. Of course, stress, coffee, and poor diet are bigger contributors, so it is hard to say if Rapa is to blame at all
