Rapa and lp(a) increase?

With rapa tied to increased lipids , does it raise lp(a)?

Good question! Not sure if that’s ever been tested, since Lp(a) is unfortunately so rarely assessed in the first place.

I did notice someone mention they had been on rapa for three years and saw no lp(a) increase.

What’s the timeframe when rapa users generally start to see lipid increases? 6 months? Do they plateau at some point? Thanks for any feedback.

So… I have been on Rapamycin 2 1/2 years…
my LDL- C went up after a year… in July 2022 at 1 year 10 months it was 167. With no changes in diet or meds in July 2022 at 2 years… it went down to 141. Again… with no changes in late November 2022 at 2 years and 3 months it was 107.

So LDL -C initially went up high … then stabilized to normal. Will have a blood test in April 2023 at 2 years and 8 months and see where it lands.
