Quest offers this “AD Detect Test” in many states, but not in New York (where I live). I have spoken to the administrator of a trial of Lecanemab to try to find out why it isn’t offered here, and how can I get it, and came up empty. People in the trial can get the test here in NY but I cannot!
Anyone know why some states will not let residents get this test? I suppose I could go to another state, but anyone have any other ideas?
It seems prudent to have this test done before starting Rapamycin. I understand that if there is already evidence of amyloid or tau it would not be a good idea, as Rapamycin might make it worse. (and any thoughts or pointers about that?)
