I’m struggling to find a good reason for taking probiotics. Not a lot of great supporting evidence.

KarlT, I agree with you when it comes to supplements from a bottle. Maybe it’s available, but I have not found good supporting evidence for any probiotic supplement. I’ve tried a small number of highly rated supplements from Amazon and found all of them to be useless. Of course, I should know better than to pay much attention to Amazon ratings anyway, but that’s another topic. On the other hand I still think that fermented foods eaten in large enough quantity on a regular basis are probably beneficial assuming one is also eating foods that the little creatures like.
