Peptides / Bioregulators

I tried Semax after reading your posts - one of the best I’ve tried. I’m currently taking it again for a few weeks rather than days. I’m also taking Epithalon at the moment, @500mcg/day, which again is one in which you piqued my interest. So far, the main thing I’ve noticed is a significant improvement in pulse rate whilst sleeping (53 bpm rather than 58 bpm) along with a significant improvement in length of time in deep sleep.

I believe my mother took Memantine for a while after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s

Hey DS. I enjoyed your last couple of posts. Could you say which Semax and DMH you purchased and from where? Thx buddy.

I ordered mine from Nootropics Source as unreconstituted powder. I reconstituted the powder and put it into spray bottles that I got from Amazon.

I only did it this way to save a little money. I am retired and have time to mess with this stuff.

You can buy it ready to use: I have used Nootropics Source with success, but I have no financial interest in, nor do I endorse either one of these companies

Thanks DS, they don’t look like they ship outside the USA.

We’re finally getting some feedback from the Russian side on the dubious effectiveness of bioregulators. The paper downloaded by @Jay tells the story of Khavinson “and his peptide bioregulators, the effectiveness of which is doubted by proponents of evidence-based medicine.”

Khavinson did receive patents on some peptides such as epitalon. These peptides, which promise to retard or reverse the aging process, made Khavinson popular with the Russian leadership. He then developed bioregulators, which, he said, can restore tissue at the cellular level. According to the official Khavinson website, a bioregulator’s mechanism of action consists of this: “If there are issues with any organ, a person should be injected with an extract from the same organ of a young calf.” This seems laughable on its face. But one of his patients, the mayor of St. Petersburg, awarded him a medal, saying that her body had been “restored.”

Not everyone bought the hype. Vasily Vlasov, an epidemiologist and the President of the Russian Society of Evidence-Based Medicine, said, “These peptides have never been studied in a normal comparative experiment. There is no evidence that they bring any benefit.” Furthermore, he said, “The very concept of ’’lowering immunity’ and the possibility of its ‘enhancement’ is an ugly simplification of knowledge about the complex immune system.”

Khavinson wrote more than 800 papers, but the medical media outlet Cuprum says that articles on “Khavinson peptides” are published in journals that do not even belong to the fourth quartile—a category of scientific journals least demanded in the scientific community."

Khavinson also claimed to have been nominated for the Nobel Prize, a claim that has never been verified,

It is also worth noting that some of Khavinson’s peers accused him of engaging in “psuedoscience.”

You can get Semax nasal drops from RU Pharma. They ship to Europe.
I ordered some of their other products and received them within a reasonable time.

Did you inject the epithalon IM or SQ?

SQ

I have it in my night time combo so one shot I get Epithalon 140mcg, Ipamorelin 400mcg and CJC1295-noDAC 250mcg

Elamipretide / SS-31 peptide

The mitochondrial-targeted peptide therapeutic elamipretide improves cardiac and skeletal muscle function during aging without detectable changes in tissue epigenetic or transcriptomic age.

Together, these results indicate that ELAM treatment is effective at mitigating signs of sarcopenia and heart failure in an aging mouse model, but that these functional improvements occur independently of detectable changes in epigenetic and transcriptomic age. Thus, some age-related changes in function may be uncoupled from changes in molecular biological age.

That last “may be” is important for people who are only looking at certain types of changes that don’t always reflect the benefit of an intervention…

" A third solution proposed by @Ulf is to inject GHK-cu–and maybe other peptides–into an upper quadrant of the glutes, I tried it and it works. No discomfort, no pain".

Yes, it works great but I make sure to inject in the upper outer quadrant of the glutes, to be at a really safe distance from the sciatic nerve of the lower inner quadrant which absolutely must be avoided to not risk severy injury.

Following advice on this forum, I have UK Peptides to be reliable.

Several papers on PubMed say that i.m. injections cause most of the nerve problems. Needles for i.m. are 1-1.5 inches long. And it least one paper says that most patients who hit the nerve are targeting the upper outer quadrant of the glute.

CJC-1295 has been mentioned a few times. Does anyone use CJC-1295 + DAC (Drug Affinity Complex)? According to ChatGPT DAC extends the half-life of CJC-1295 from a few hours to several days making the need for injections less frequent. I assume this means fewer purchases of CJC-1295 which means less cost?

When you dose Ipamorelin/CJC 1295 no DAC it’s often done together, usually in the same syringe. They work synergistically and cause a significant spike in GH release that peaks quickly and the settles back to baseline in several hours. This mimics the natural cycle of GH release. This is why the no DAC is most often used.

CJC 1295 with DAC, because of its longer half life is dosed less frequently. That means your Ipamorelin dosing schedule (if using them together) would be different and most likely not in the same syringe. Also, with DAC provides your body with a more steady state release of GH rather than a spike and return to baseline quickly.

From my understanding, the no DAC version is better for increasing muscle mass and fat loss. Whereas with DAC is better if you’re taking it for simply anti-aging benefits.

What dose of oxytocin and how often?

Hi Tim,
I’m not too precise with dosages as I use an intranasal spray. I make the spray by diluting 5mg of oxytocin with 10ml of bacteriostatic water. I then usually use two to three sprays in each nostril two or three times a day (so roughly between 10 and 20 sprays a day).

I’ve been on Rt for last 4-5 weeks and have some good results (appetite suppression and about 1.2lbs/week weight loss). However, I get a heartburn/acid reflux with almost everything I eat, and it is becoming a bit of an issue. does anyone have any suggestion?

You could go vegetarian or try BPC-157, capsules or injections.

Hi Walter Brown,

I haven’t found much benefit from injecting semax and selank. Maybe I should use the spray like you and others on this thread. I’ll give it a try.

Thanks.
