Pantethine Vs Statin

Post deleted by author.

I don’t think I have had a problem with Panethine, but

Bleeding disorders : Pantethine might slow blood clotting. This might increase the risk of severe bleeding in patients with bleeding disorders. If you have a bleeding disorder, talk to your healthcare provider before starting pantethine.

I also have no bruising issues or bleeding issues (cuts while shaving) even though I take:
pantethine
fish oil
aspirin
garlic
ginger
tumeric

How much pantethine do you take?

500mg Pantothenic acid (not pantethine, which I listed in error above)

To be honest over the course of time I change my opinion about things as I read more and more papers.
I took Pantethine alone for quite some time and it kept my cholesterol levels within the normal range without using a statin.
Since I am now in the lower is better camp, I have added atorvastatin 40 mg tablet daily to my medications.

This is an n=1 confirmed fact… I tried Pantethine (low dosage, 450mg a day). Just 1 day before speaking at a big conference—bruise on the face! Maybe I pressed the towel a bit too hard, but this has never happened before. Guess I learned the hard way that Pantethine and public appearances don’t mix well :). Stopped it immediately and added K2 to counteract blood thinning…

It also seems to have positive effects on fatty liver disease and might decrease visceral fat (moving it to subcutaneous?). Added to my basket…

I tried Pantothine for a couple months. No change in lipid panel. My n of 1.
