I just ran a little experiment to confirm a hypothesis. I believe that package tracking such as using this website, https://parcelsapp.com/, alerts customs to check and seize your package.
I recently ordered 3 packages of 500 tabs of meds (250 tabs Dutasteride and 250 tabs Tadalafil in each). I used inexpensive meds so that if it was seized it wouldn’t be a huge loss. The packages were sent on 1/22, 1/28 and 1/30. I only tracked the package sent on 1/22. I received the package that was sent on 1/28 today and the package sent on 1/22 is still in customs. I previously had a package seized that was worth $500 USD, and I had been actively tracking it via the website above.
Every package I have tracked has been seized. Every package I haven’t tracked has made it through safely. Unfortunately, my sample size isn’t very large, so can others confirm my hypothesis?
If my hypothesis is correct, you should avoid tracking your package as it may increase the odds of seizure. My guess is that when you track a package, the app sends customs your tracking number so they can search and seize it.
I won’t be tracking my future packages until they are well overdue from now on!
I’ve never had a package seized, and I track all my packages. Just received one today, in fact. I also sometimes use secondary addresses, although that doesn’t guarantee anything.
All my packages have been tracked, sometimes daily for two weeks. I had one package delayed for two months but it was ultimately delivered. I don’t think I use the specific website you link. I use USPS package tracking once it hits the US. All go through New York.
Hmm… Well, I guess I could be just really unlucky. 2 of my last 4 packages have been seized by customs at JFK. I wonder what is flagging the packages? The packages were from two different vendors.
How many pills are in each of your packages? It could be the size as well. I didn’t think 500 tabs was a lot, but it could be over the threshold for personal use.
I track all my packages, I’ve never had one seized. It’s just odds that you get randomly checked by customs, or the seller or your address have been flagged for increased checking.
It must be just a coincidence. I always track my packages with same app as you and have had about 25 (some for friends and family) in total from India and I’ve lost only 2 to customs. Could it be that your seized packages are ordered from same person, because in my case those two packages were reshipped and they were seized again. So, I stopped using those two contacts thinking they were doxed by customs (maybe yes maybe no) and ordered same meds from elsewhere right away and they were delivered just fine. Then I went on to order another 15 in a period of 18 months and they all arrived ok (none ordered from the two contacts that had their packages seized). All mine come through JFK.
There has been an increase in customs apprehending packages in this last month. Eli Lily is pissed off regarding GLP1/2/3 drugs being trafficked, not to mention other peptides. I believe this is a big influence on the border crack down. I’ve also had a couple parcels seized.
This has been confirmed by Chinese vendors that I worked with.
This seems like the most likely explanation to me. The FDA drug importation “loophole” is supposed to be for a 90 day supply, so with 500 pills that’s probably pushing your luck.
I’ve only had one package seized in the last 5 years. None in the last 3 years. I attribute that particular seizure to the physical size of the package, which caused it to be opened.
Customs doesn’t know how many pills are in the package unless they open it. Then you are probably screwed depending on the medication or more than a 90-day supply.
I was informed by Maulik a long time ago that larger packages are more likely to be opened and seized.
Sorry, you have had a run of bad luck. Physical package size too large? Also, can you change the name of the recipient? Perhaps having packages seized in the past has put you on a watch list.
Though I doubt any of this is the case. If I were betting, I would place it on the physical size of the package.
Good news is that the third package made it through customs. So 2 out of 3 isn’t horrible but not ideal.
The meds are 20X cheaper from India than buying them here locally in Hong Kong which are 2-3X cheaper than the USA.
Here’s Jagdish’s policy
RL PHARMA Jagdish is a genuine company but once a parcel arrives in the USA or Canada or any other countries, then the customs department of these countries won’t allow any other company to interfere in there clearance process. Still RL PHARMA will give some medicine free if a parcel is seized by customs. Jagdish always writes everything clearly in the invoice before taking money from clients. He doesn’t give refunds but he always tries to compensate for any losses.
They were seized at JFK and were sent by Jagdish. Yes, the seizure rate seems quite high. I have 4 more packages - 3 from Jagdish and 1 from Maulik. I am hoping the rest make it through. They are all spaced a few days apart from each other.
Do you mind saying who the seller was? I find it a bit weird because I decided to order more meds 15-20 days ago (even though I thought I had enough lol) and ordered from two different sources and both packages relatively mid to bigger sizes (one 900 pills, the other 750) they both were delivered this week with no problem. I’ve had about 13 packages from one, and 4 from the other one (my go to contacts for Indian meds) in last six months and my success rate with these two guys is 100%.
