Oxytocin’s Role in Managing Age-Related Muscle Decline and Body Fat Changes

Interesting paper intended as a marketing piece but still interesting. It describes muscle mass loss in aging along with fat accumulation, and describes a role for oxytocin in combating this common progression.

I spray oxytocin three times a day intranasally as part of my peptide cocktail (oxytocin, GHK-Cu, and ARA-290)

Any obvious effect of oxytocin?

That’s interesting. I was prescribed intranasal oxytocin from a compounding pharmacy. Maybe they didn’t dissolve it properly or the product had degraded but l didn’t notice anything… Except residue in my nostrils.

The effect is like a 20 second burst after the intranasal spray. The dose is 1mg in 10ml of bacteriostatic water from lyophilised oxytocin.

Of all the interventions you have tried, which would you say have been the best for muscle?

Mmm…. Tricky as I have tried a lot and for me it’s about reactivating muscles that have atrophised. I’d say either PPARy agonists (GW50516) or SARMS (MK2866).

I am looking for interventions with a low(er) risk profile. I have tried trt with HCG to maintain my anatomy. It’s effective but eventually even at lower doses my hematocrit goes high and my ferritin tanks. Have you found the galantamine to be effective for muscle?

Very effective, I was going to mention but have only been on it a month. I’ve become a huge fan of all things choline. Also started ch-OSA for skin.

Many thanks for the help and insight. I have some research to do!

Where do you get the oxytocin? I’ve not seen companies selling this online yet, but I may have missed them.

Gethealthspan.com offers it now.

Widely available and fairly cheap as far as peptides go.
I would buy the powder form to reconstitute and make my own nasal spray.

@Walter_Brown do you have a progress report on the galantamine and the ch-OSA?

I continue to take both. I’ve only been taking both for a few months, but anecdotally:
I’ve had no negative side effects. My skin feels tighter. My muscles are stronger. I am finding synergies via the choline. Supplement with Krill as it’s a highly bioavailabilite form of choline. Will continue to update. The choline anti inflammatory pathway also seems to include a role for cannabinoids so thinking of adding a good CBD.

Glad to hear that. I ordered some galantamine. It’s forecast to be here within 2 weeks. If you don’t mind me asking, where did acquire the ch-OSA from?
