Outbreak of the fungus, called Candida auris - tends to infect people with weakened immune systems

Just saw this - Candida auris.

On one hand as a fungus - rapamycin could prevent its growth. Provide some type of protection. The pathogen is resistant to some common antifungal medications. On the other hand – it tends to infect those with weakened immune systems - something rapamycin can also cause. The good and the bad. Personally I am not concerned, but thought it might be an area for clinical trials in treatment with rapamycin.
