This is a paper which is a collaboration between a large number of researchers including myself. It took a bit of effort to get it accepted by a journal, but it was and has now been published.
My own personal view is positive about collaboration and I would be happy to coordinate collaboration between the academic world and the world of independent research if anyone else is interested.
