Olive oil and coffee may slow ageing, study suggests

Drizzling olive oil on meals and having berries with breakfast are among the simple dietary changes that can slow down ageing and wrinkles, a study has suggested.

Researchers found that people who eat lots of foods rich in polyphenols experience fewer age-related changes to their DNA.

Polyphenols are antioxidant-rich chemicals found in olive oil, colourful plants, coffee and cocoa and have been proven to help reduce inflammation in the body and protect against heart disease.
