Natural products against cancer — a paper

“NPs are an important source of compounds for cancer prevention and interception. Since a single NP may not be optimally effective in preventing cancer, NP combinations are being investigated with increased frequency in the hope of increasing chemopreventive efficacy”

Natural Products (NP) listed in paper with results of studies on positive (or not) effects on reducing cancer.

I would like to see a more rigorous test of high dose citrate as that hits fair and square on the aberrant splice pathway.

I do have some useful anecdotes from my small biohacking trial (mainly friends and family), but if there are cancers which are part of the metabolic hypothesis then this is something worth trying out carefully.

Hi, I’m new here and do not use any social media so I’m learning as I go along. I just had a lumpectomy last week for stage 1 invasive lobular breast cancer and was wondering if anyone has successfully used natural products instead of the aromatase inhibitors that the docs would like me to take for 5-7 years. I’ve read that they have some very unpleasant side effects.

Yes. On that note, I’m struggling to get my 2g of citrate per day MED. The sodium citrate is causing swollen ankles. The potassium citrate drops my BP too much if I take more than a tiny amount. So I’m left with magnesium citrate and calcium citrate. Any other ideas?

Good questions. I wonder if it is a timing thing. Perhaps we should talk on zoom. It took me some time to build up, but i did not have that many issues.

While methylene blue is not a natural substance, it is available from Amazon.
One of the many reasons I take methylene blue is for its anti-cancer properties.
I found no references that it had any effects on other medications.

I just read a book about Salvestrols. Fascinating topic. I don’t know if these guys know what they’re doing or not. Hard to tell these days.

Apparently CYP1B1 is an enzyme that only lives in cancer cells and it turns polyphenols into metabolites that kill cancer. Salvestrols are the deadly ones.

There are things that inhibit them from working and things like vitamin c and biotin that help them work. The book is very short and an easy read.

Thanks desertshores. I will read this article. It seems that I recall reading that if you’re taking SSRi’s (which I unfortunately am), that it’s not safe to use methylene blue.

Thanks Bicep. I’ll give this a read.
