Mucosal TLR5 activation controls healthspan and longevity (Nature)

This is a very particular strain of rhamnosis. I think it is similar to the GG strain, named after the guys that bred it. I’m not sure how different these strains are when it comes to stimulating TLR5.

ADM sent me to the guy in charge of southern europe, he was from Spain. Apparently they use it there. He stopped responding when I said I wasn’t representing a company.

Ok, I finally got around to buying some Rhamnosis GG. It’s all I could find and this study basically says the same thing as the one posted by rapadmin above:

In case anybody cares.

It grows like crazy and I could only run it for 24 hours before it goes a little too far. You’ll end up with cheese and whey. Delicious.

“Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG was originally isolated from a human fecal sample by Sherwood Gorbach and Barry Goldin in 1985 and was proposed to be a potential probiotic strain based on its high acid and bile tolerance, adhesion capacity, and growth characteristics (1, 2).”

So it is a possible and inexpensive probiotic that you can grow yourself.
