Metformin Study (in mice) Nov 23 GeroScience, India - was effective in reducing age-associated atherosclerosis in the aortas of mice. - also found to delay cellular senescence in human aortic endothelial cells (HAECs) by activating the AMPK-SIRT1/SIRT6 axis. - Met may be a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of age-related cardiovascular diseases.
