Personally, because of the short half-life of melatonin, those doses are way too low.
The studies in the prevention and treatment of breast cancer use 20mg.
I don’t understand the caution of using high-dose melatonin as I have been taking high
doses of melatonin for many decades. It was my first longevity supplement.
Now I have been dosing at 200 to 300 mg daily. I am going to increase to 500 to 1000mg daily. It is much more cost-effective for me to buy the pure powder and encapsulate it.
