I’m a health reporter with the New York Times, and I’m working on an article about people taking rapamycin for longevity. (I received permission from the site admin to post here!) I was hoping to speak with some of the members of the Rapamycin News community about your experiences on the drug – motivation for starting, how you obtained it, any benefits or side effects, etc.
If anyone is interested in being interviewed for the story, please feel free to email me at dana.smith@nytimes.com. For reference, here’s a recent story I did on some of the hallmarks of aging.
I encourage people here with significant experience with rapamycin (more than just a few months) to share your experiences with Dana (good or bad experiences).
I personally think rapamycin has the potential to really move the needle on health and longevity for a large portion of society, and since its an inexpensive, generic medication that will never get pharma marketing support. The only way we can get the word out is via news stories like these.
Thank you all for the enthusiastic response!! I’m all set for volunteers now, and I’ll follow up with everyone who’s contacted me over email. Really appreciate so many of you being willing to share your experience!
