What did you think of Matt K.'s collagen remarks at the end - Brad is still a believer it seemed. I type as I drink my collagen and glycine coffee this morning. As Matt says well even if it doesn’t help - it can’t hurt so maybe!

The amino acid profile is different between collagen and muscle protein. For example, there is less (3x) isoleucine in collagen. When you restricted that amino acid, you can extend lifespan in mouse in lab environment. Dudley Lamming, ARDD2022: Regulation of health and longevity by a specific dietary aminoacid - YouTube

Pretty much what Matt reiterated through the video is that the only supplement worth taking right now is Rapamycin. Then you should make sure your exercise, diet, and sleep are in order. Then, some other supplements can help fine-tune your longevity. I mostly agree with this.

However, I would put vitamin D3, Omega-3s, Magnesium, and Glycine in the significant for everyone category for various reasons. Then you need to tailor the other supplements based on your needs, and they may not fit everyone.

Considering how high a bar he has for evidence and how hard it is to impress him, the fact that he endorses rapamycin makes me very encouraged

Exactly. He is very scrutinizing … gives nothing to chance or possibly. An odd kind of guy… and yet mesmerized by his manner of speaking… can see he is really thinking… and not ready with a pat answer… when asked is it either this or that… Matt is more likely to say partially both and explains why.

And yes, … as Matt K. alludes to the only supplement worth taking right now is Rapamycin. Then you should make sure your exercise, diet, and sleep are in order.

TRT and Rapamycin will not have as good results… or possibly any benefit without exercise, diet and sleep. Can vouch for that!

I know some here hate my humor, but I can’t resist…

What is a good total omega-3 dose that takes in consideration Afib risk from it?

This is what I use:

I followed Dr. Brads advice to have the EPA double the DHA value. I also like the NOW brand. I take 2 daily.

This is a great video. Must watch for anyone new to this area. Matt K.’s view of the field is professional and skeptical as everyone’s should be.

OK, but most of have no idea

OK, however most of us have no idea of the amino acid profile in normal, every day food. How much isoleucine are you ready to restrict?
