Katalyst EMS Suit

I have a Katalyst EMS Suit available for anyone that can use it.

I’ve gotten leaner so the vest I have no longer works for me.
I decided to order a VisionBody suit.

I have the full suit (large vest, medium shorts, medium or large arm bands, power pack, and two pairs of the inner suit).

Happy to send to anyone for the cost of shipping.
Send me a private chat if interested.

Easy way into EMS.

The first-generation Katalyst EMS Suit

Premium, multi-piece fitness system that uses Electro-Muscle-Stimulation (EMS) technology to deliver full-body workouts without heavy weights or joint impact

Notable as the first full-body EMS training device cleared by the FDA for home use.

System Architecture & Design

  • Four-Piece Modular Setup: Unlike a singular zip-up jumpsuit, the system consists of a tight vest, a set of shorts, and two individual arm straps.
  • Conductive Base Layer: Users must first put on a specially designed, tightly fitted polyamide (nylon) shirt and leggings underpants.
  • Water-Activation Requirement: The suit utilizes 26 built-in electrode pads mapped across all major muscle groups. Before starting a workout, users must heavily spray these pads with water so the moisture acts as an electrical conductor through the base layer.
  • Mechanical Hardware Controls: The garments are engineered with front-facing, magnetized cable connections, alongside manual straps and buckles to tightly adjust the fit to the user’s body shape.

Tech Specs & Performance

  • The Impulse Pack: A pocket-sized, rechargeable battery pack fits into a holster on the thigh. It acts as the “brain,” receiving instructions via Bluetooth and translating them into physical muscle impulses.
  • Frequency Capabilities: It delivers low-frequency impulses up to a maximum frequency of 105 Hz with a maximum pulse width of 375 μs. Strength training programs on the system are typically capped at 75 Hz.
  • Fiber Activation: While traditional weight lifting activates roughly 40% to 50% of targeted muscle fibers, the Katalyst suit is designed to send signals that contract up to 90% of muscle fibers simultaneously.
  • Total System Weight: The entire physical setup—including all garments and the battery pack—weighs approximately three pounds.

Software & Ecosystem

  • Device Dependency: The system requires an iPad or iPhone running iOS 16 or later to operate.
  • App-Driven Workouts: The Katalyst companion app streams 20-minute video workouts (spanning Strength, Power, Cardio, and Recovery). The software automatically controls and dials the impulse intensities up or down during the class.

I looked at this and it only worked with an Apple phone so I didn’t buy it.

As I’m sure you are aware, but others may not be, that the VisionBody suit is made to size (you send in your measurements and they send you the suit approx. 6 weeks later). So if your body changes significantly, it may no longer fit.

VisionBody appears to have changed its approach.
They now say they ship in a few days.
No custom fitting. They ask for:

  • weight
  • height
  • chest
  • waist
  • hips

They do reach out if one has questions.
They may have just gone to a stretchier skin.
I’ll see.

OK, cool. Hopefully that means you can keep the suit a little longer if your body changes only somewhat :grinning:.
