Is Longevity Lab Solutions legit? They have assays for 8oxoG, klotho, TNF, and other markers you can't easily get anywhere

But the anount of external validation you see from it is minimal compared to the amount you see from other providers

As Iā€™m interested in Klotho (just ordered from buckylabs), Iā€™d like to get my baseline before starting my regimen. Longevity Lab Solutions (LLS) is offering a ā€œSoluble Klotho Blood Testā€ for $229 ($268.99 with shipping). They also offer, for $599, the ā€œLongevity Blood Test- Signatureā€. It tests ā€œ90 Analytesā€ (see the full list at bottom).

I am suspicious of their pricing, so I did a comparison with Marek Diagnostics (Marek Health). Iā€™ve used Marek for many blood tests and Iā€™m 100% satisfied. (Iā€™ve posted other info about Marek on this site).

First, a couple of individual tests that show, for basic tests, LLS is comparatively high retail:

Lipid panel: LLS=$79 Marek=$10
Basic Metabolic: LLS=$79 Marek=$10 (LLS only tests 9 analytes, Marek 17)
B12: LLS=$79 Marek=$18

What makes me suspicious is the price for their $599 Longevity Blood Test. Several of the included tests are much higher at Marek- and for many of them, Marek does not offer it (e.g. Klotho).

Marek prices for a few of the tests:
$94 - Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha
$1,250 - ATN (Amyloid, Tau, Neurodegeneration) Profile
$185 - Interluekin 6 (Marek only offers Interluekin 6 & 8 testing, LLS tests 1b,4,6,10)

I find it difficult to believe that LLS can include all 90 tests for $599, when the amyloid test by itself costs $1,250 at Marek. It also surprises me that the blood collection is: ā€œPrice includes convenient home collection kit for sample collection from the comfort of your homeā€. Really?? (Marek sends you to LabCorp).

It looks like they have been in business one year or less. Their headquarters is in a Houston suburb and is 771 sq. ft. (two offices and a reception area). Their phone goes straight to voicemail.

90 Analytes Tested by LLS:

General Health: Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, CMP (18 analytes), Lipid Panel (6 analytes), Complete Blood Count, CBC (21 analytes), HbA1C
Brain: Amyloid Beta (AĪ²) Peptides 40, Amyloid Beta (AĪ²) Peptides 42, Amyloid Beta (AĪ²) Peptides 42/40, Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), Klotho, Phosphorylated Tau 181 (p-T181), Phosphorylated Tau 217 (p-T217), Total Tau Proteins (t-tau), Tryptophan, Kynurenine, Tryptophan/Kynurenine Ratio
Hormones: Cortisol, Estradiol, Free Testosterone, Progesterone, Insulin, Insulin Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1), Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG), Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Free T3, Free T4
Inflammation: C-Reactive Protein (CRP), Homocysteine, Interluekin-1Ī² (IL-1Ī²), Interleukin-4 (IL-4), Interleukin-6 (IL-6), Interleukin-10 (IL-10), Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha (TNFĪ±), Interferon-Gamma (IFNĪ³), Leptin, Adiponectin
Micronutrients: Vitamin B6, Vitamin B9 (Folate), Active Vitamin B12, Vitamin D 25-OH, Magnesium
Mitochondrial Dysfunction: Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP)
Oxidative Stress: GSSG/GSH, Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS), Malondialdehyde (MDA), NAD+/NADH

As I mentioned in my previous post, when I phoned LLS it went directly to voicemail. I left a message.

The owner, Dr. Aloma Geer, called me a few hours later. I talked to her for several minutes, asking about her lab and the tests. I liked her and imho, it sounds legit. Iā€™m going to give it a try- I just ordered the $599 Signature Longevity Blood Test ($638 with shipping).

They use Tasso devices for the at-home blood collection.

To be continuedā€¦

This doesnā€™t make sense. Most of the tests shown require ā€˜wetā€™ tests (ie refrigerated, strict handling regulations). However, they may be referring to mobile lab services, which are obviously a much more expensive version than labcorp, etc.

Interesting. How can they ā€˜stabilizeā€™ the blood sample for shipping?

Did you get your results back from this test? Any feedback?

They have had my blood for two weeks. I got basic reports, more to follow this week. I will post when I get everything.
I talked to the owner (Dr. Alma Geer) again and I think she is legit and wants to provide a quality service.
